For her smokey sweet one year session, we skipped the expected cake moment and made it feel more like her. A little picnic. A LOT of BBQ sauce. A little cherry pie moment. And whole lot of personality.

That is the magic of milestone sessions. They do not have to follow a script. They get to be about you and your story.

Your baby’s first year deserves to be celebrated in a way that feels like them. Sweet, silly, sentimental, messy, cozy, colorful, classic, or completely unexpected.

In 5 years of Cleveland Glamour, I have photographed so many seasons of becoming.

Maternity sessions always feel especially sacred because they hold so much at once. Joy, anticipation, tenderness, exhaustion, change, love, and the quiet wonder of a chapter that will never look exactly like this again.

You do not have to feel glamorous every second of pregnancy to deserve beautiful maternity portraits.

A few weeks ago we had the Body Love Day Retreat and it was so special. 🥰

We started the day with ordering our lunch for our Self Care Concierge (aka my hubby Frankie) to pick up, then got dressed, and headed out on a surprise field trip for glamour minis for each attendee.

For the first ever Body Love Day retreat field trip I chose one of my favorite places: The Rockefeller Park Greenhouse.

Once we made our way there with everyone looking absolutely radiant, I started photographing each Beauty in the gorgeous spring flowers and during their down time they got to spend a quiet moment just wondering about the flowers taking a moment for themselves. 🧘‍♀️

After our mini photoshoots we came back together for the workshop portion at the studio where we had some really honest, powerful conversations.

Because when you come to a workshop with me we talk about the hard things and do real work together so you leave with tangible tools to take with you on your self love and healing journey.

Not fake confidence.

Not “just love yourself” fluff. 🐑

Real conversations about how confidence is safety, how growth asks us to sit in discomfort sometimes, and how changing the way we think about ourselves takes practice.

We also talked about something that hit really deeply for a lot of us: Sometimes the things we call “wants” are actually needs.

Because if the things that keep you grounded, joyful, and mentally well disappeared from your life, you would feel it.

You would suffer.

And that means those things matter.
That kind of care counts.

After the workshop, we saw everyone's images together (yep just like an hour or so after they were shot) and every single Beauty cheered each other on, which was such a beautiful way to end the day. 😍

It was one of those days that felt light and fun and beautiful on the outside, but also really meaningful underneath it all.

I’m so grateful for every woman who came, showed up, and committed to putting herself back on her list. 💗

College graduation deserves to be celebrated big. 👩‍🎓

Honestly, sometimes even bigger than high school.

Because college is something you chose. You kept showing up for it. You made it through the late nights, the hard days, the life changes, the uncertainty, the pressure, the growth, and all the tiny moments no one else saw.

And when you finally get to stand there in your cap and gown, that is not “just graduation.”

That is proof.

Proof that you showed up for yourself.
Proof that you worked for something that mattered to you.
Proof that a whole chapter of your life was dedicated to growth and bettering yourself.

And that deserves to be documented, celebrated, and remembered.

These photos are extra special to me because they are of my cousin and getting to photograph her college graduation felt like such a full-circle moment, because on the day we watched her walk the stage I was reminded by facebook memories that I had graduated from college on that exact same day 11 years earlier.

Life is funny like that.

One minute you are walking across the stage yourself, and years later you are watching someone you love do the same after working so hard for it.

That is exactly why I believe these moments deserve to be captured.

The big ones. The proud ones. The “I can’t believe we’re here already” ones. The moments that feel emotional now and become priceless later.

So if you or someone you love is graduating, please do not let it pass by like it is just another thing on the calendar.

Make it a celebration.
Take the photos.

Cleveland Glamour is celebrating 5 years this month, and I will always be proud that this story started here.

Cleveland has shaped so much of this brand. The skyline, the lake, the architecture, the gardens, the unexpected beauty tucked into familiar places.

I've photographed so many beautiful milestones in those 5 years. Self celebrations, new beginnings, brands and business owners, expecting mommas and babies, families, weddings and everything in between.

Moments of love, laughter, and legacy that will now live on forever and be able to be looked back on for years to come.

Cleveland is where it all started and where I always come back to.

But one of my favorite things about Cleveland Glamour is that the story can travel.

Your portraits can happen in the city you love, the place you are celebrating, the destination that feels meaningful, or the location that makes you feel completely alive.

Cleveland is home.

But beauty can meet us anywhere.
