it’s been a crazy past few months trying to catch up with orders!
This round base was made with gummy cherry - the pockets of resin (pitch) cause black streaks in the grain. we also kept the lighter sapwood which turned out great! finished with polyx

Introducing the plant stand mini 🌱
The miniature version is made from an off-cut piece of maple. We originally selected this piece because of the patchwork of spalting and curls. Spalting occurs when maple is left to decay just enough and then is quickly dried to halt the process.

New home for the plant babies 🌱
Once we laid our eyes on the curly cherry, we knew we had to get it!! Joined the slabs with hidden mortise and tenon and finished with polyx

β€’ Cherry Side Table β€’
We love the characteristic rich red of cherrywood and how it ages like a fine wine! Cherry oxidizes and gradually darkens over time as its exposed to sunlight.

Celebrating our first RWxL Christmas πŸŽ„
Enjoyed creating these cookie boxes (practicing our miters) and stuffing them with homemade treats!
β€’
Used a mix of poplar (sides) and plywood (bottom and cover). Notches (groove and rabbet) were created using a dado stack.
