Installing a CONFAST® Concrete Screw? Follow these steps for a secure and reliable installation:

1. Drill the Hole

Drill a 5/32" hole into the concrete using a carbide-tipped bit that meets ANSI Standards B212.15.

2. Drill to the Proper Depth

Drill the hole 1/2" deeper than the anchor will pe*****te the concrete, ensuring the minimum embedment of 1" is met.

3. Drill Through the Fixture (If Needed)

The hole can be drilled while the fixture is in place. The minimum fixture hole size for the 3/16" x 1-1/4" Hex Head CONFAST® Concrete Screw is 1/4".

4. Clean the Hole

Remove dust and debris using a wire brush, vacuum, compressed air, or blow-out bulb.

5. Insert the Screw

Insert the point of the screw into the hole. Make sure it pe*****tes the base material at least 1" but no deeper than 1-3/4".

6. Drive the Anchor

Using a 1/4" nut driver hex driver, turn the screw clockwise, applying slight pressure until the head is snug against the material being fastened.

STV-Turner JV to manage construction of $10B NYC bus terminal

The pair will oversee Phase 1 of the Midtown Bus Terminal Replacement project. Other builders on the job include Tutor Perini, AECOM Tishman and MLJ Contracting.

A joint venture of STV and Turner Construction will act as construction manager for Phase 1 of the Midtown Bus Terminal Replacement, according to a Monday news release from the builders. The contract amount was not disclosed.

The phase includes the construction of an interim, 900,000-square-foot, seven-level terminal and new ramp infrastructure. The improvements will enable bus service to continue for more than 200,000 daily commuters while the full terminal replacement proceeds, according to the release.
