If we are moving the Oldenburg "Free Stamp" let's move it to where it was designed to go. It was designed to sit in front of the BP Building on the rubber stamp like brick base. But when Oldenburg joked with Fred Griffith on the Morning Exchange show, that he couldn't imagine a big oil company like BP doing anything for free. Bob Horton then CEO had the project shelved and the art place in a warehouse. Claes Oldenburg sued BP for Breach of Contract and damages. He won ownership of the art and damages valued at about twice the original cost. He then gifted it to the City of Cleveland as long as his company maintained it, and he could pick the location. E9th and Lakeside was chosen and the stamp placed on it's side, so that it looked thrown away by BP America.
An amazing story, let's do this right this time!

What did you do today.
I spoke to this woman for a bit. She had been standing in front of Oldenberg's "Rubber Stamp" aka the FREE Stamp. I stopped to read her sign and take a photo if she would let me.
She thought I wanted her to move so I could take a photo of Oldernberg's "Rubber Stamp." I explained the photo would mean nothing without her and her sign in front of it.
I thank her for doing it, and she thanked me for stopping.
I then said, "I would love if we could do more, but you know..." She nodded.
The day marked 3 years since Russia invaded the sovereign nation of Ukraine. And only days since President Trump said no more help and we want all your mineral rights.
