Real Veggies Farm
Located in Brunswick, Ohio and Lafayette Township, Ohio, we sell vegetables, herbs, some fruits, homemade bread, homemade pasta, and some plants.
Our vegetables are picked fresh just before our markets, and grown without the use of chemicals.
What vegetable, herb or even flower plants would everyone like to see me grow this year?
Believe it or not, even though it may not look like it outside, it is time for Real Veggies Farm to start getting ready for spring. Within the next few weeks I am actually going to be starting some seeds. Mostly just some herbs, onions, shallots, leeks and then soon to follow with celery, parsley, and other cold crops. Right now I am in the process of ordering seeds and getting everything organized and ready to go. But now would be the prefect time to let me know if there is anything you would like to see me grow this year.
What type or variety of vegetables, herbs or even flowers would you like to see me have plants of this year? I don't know about everyone else but I am soooooo ready for spring to come, think warm everyone:)
When I do have plants available for sale, this spring, I will be sure to post it here.

Here are some pictures from planting at the farm last week. Was able to get a decent amount in the ground, still have a long way to go though, would help if it would stop raining, can't plant anything if we keep getting rain every day. So far at the farm I have planted, potatoes, beans, okra, cucumbers, zucchini, summer squash, scallions, kale and kohlrabi.

Did some cleanup and beautifying around my greenhouse and hoophouse yesterday. Dispite the cold rainy weather my plants are coming along pretty good. Planning on listing some cold weather veggies and some herbs for sale next week.

Stopped by the farm the other day to see how things are looking, and good news is garlic is looking really good, in need of some major w**d control, but looking good.

Got some of my lettuce in the ground on wednesday. Could only plant half of it since my brushhog is in the way, and i can not move it since my tractor is in pieces. And it is imposible to drag out by hand, don"t ask me how i know. Yes, i stupidly tried. Planted, i believe, 10 different varieties of lettuce, spinach, and arugula.

Happy Easter Everyone!!
Tilled my lettuce garden today. Was a pain to till. As soon as i started i got attacked by some blackberries that are growing along the fence line. Had to till around my cold frame, last years carrots, a collard plant, and my giant brushhog, which i can not move, till i get my tractor finished and back together. Tilled up nice though. May try to head out to the farm tomorrow moring and get some tilling done out there.
Hope everyone had a great Easter!
