While our Head Start children receive the school supplies they need, we know many of their brothers and sisters, classmates, neighbors, and friends may still need a helping hand.

Monday was the first day of Early Head Start! 🎒 These kiddos bring so much joy to our early learning centers.

A job loss. A serious illness. A house fire. A divorce. A major car repair. Any one of these situations can quickly turn a stable household into one that needs assistance. Programs funded through federal grants are there for those moments. They give people the opportunity to recover instead of falling deeper into crisis.

But the U.S. Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) proposed federal grant regulations could dramatically change how federally funded programs operate. If adopted, the rule would give the federal government broad authority to terminate certain grant awards, impose new restrictions on how grant funds may be used, and create greater uncertainty for organizations that provide essential community services.

It's been exactly one month since our Head Start Students went on summer break! ☀️
