Today, on Giving Tuesday, we invite you to stand with us in building healthier, stronger communities in Cuyahoga County. Cleveland Urban Minority Alcoholism Drug Abuse Outreach Project (UMADAOP) is a 501(c)(3) independent, community-based agency dedicated to prevention, recovery, and reentry support. With a primary focus on the African-American community, we provide holistic, evidence-based approaches that:
• Encourage physical and emotional wellness
• Promote drug-free lifestyles and harm reduction
• Inspire academic excellence and literacy
• Foster peaceful coexistence and restorative justice

Our Programs
• Treatment & Recovery – Direct services fulfilling our core mission
• Circle of Recovery – Ohio & MARS – Culturally grounded recovery programs promoting healing and resilience
• Youth Prevention – Education and empowerment initiatives preventing substance use among youth
• MARS: Multiple Approach Response Strategies – Drug awareness and harm reduction addressing the opioid epidemic, COVID-19, and gun violence
• AKOMA Women’s Recovery & Support – Gender-specific recovery services empowering women through outreach and healing Why Your Support Matters
