π₯β¨ Exciting things are happening at MetroHealth!
Recently, Cheryl and Matt attended orientation training for MetroHealth's new Outpatient Health Center, which is scheduled to open later this summer and will house Cancer Care services among many other programs.
During the visit, they were welcomed into the beautiful Dwight M. Allgood, Jr. Atriumβa meaningful moment for Art Therapy Studio. Dwight Allgood served on our Board of Directors for many years, and his dedication, leadership, and commitment to the community continue to make a lasting impact.
We are grateful for our ongoing partnership with MetroHealth and look forward to continuing to support patients and families through the healing power of art.
Congratulations to MetroHealth on this exciting new chapter!

Art therapists are naturally curious people, so when a giant bag of Swedish candy appeared in the office, there was only one thing to do: conduct a highly scientific taste test.
The results included:
π Careful inspection of gummy skulls
π² A few surprised reactions
π Lots of laughter
π Several debates about favorite flavors
While we can't promise we've become Swedish candy experts, we can confirm that taking a few minutes to share a new experience with coworkers is a pretty great way to enjoy your midweek.
Sometimes wellness looks like meaningful conversations. Sometimes it looks like creative expression. And sometimes it looks like two coworkers trying mystery candy and laughing together.
We hope your Wednesday includes a little joy, curiosity, and maybe a sweet treat too!

Sometimes healing doesnβt begin with grand gestures. Sometimes it begins with noticing small moments of wonder in unexpected places.
Today we found this little boat floating in a giant parking lot puddle outside the studio β a simple reminder that creativity, imagination, and playfulness have a way of showing up even on ordinary days.
At Art Therapy Studio, we believe art and creativity help us navigate lifeβs storms, reconnect with ourselves, and keep moving forward β even through uncertain waters. π

Weβre so grateful for community partners like ACCESS, Inc. who help make these meaningful moments possible. π
Through our partnership with ACCESS Shelter, residents recently participated in an art therapy session focused on creating positive affirmation collage cards β a chance for creativity, reflection, and connection.
Hearing that participants left feeling happier and more relaxed is exactly why this work matters. Thank you to Bath Volunteers for helping support accessible mental health and creative wellness programming in our community! π¨β¨
Residents at ACCESS Shelter gathered for an art therapy session, coordinated by Art Therapy Studio, and crafted positive affirmation collage cards!
After the session, many residents shared that they felt happier and more relaxed. This program was made possible by Bath Volunteers ββ thank you for your support and generosity! π

Today Michelle and Cheryl officially tried βdirty sodasβ from Hex Hollow Homestead for the very first timeβ¦ and letβs just say there were mixed emotions, scientific experimentation, questionable fizz levels, and at least one tiny gummy shark involved. π¦π
From βWhat exactly IS this?β to βOkay waitβ¦ this is actually kind of good,β the office briefly turned into a soda lab complete with dramatic reactions and lots of laughter.
Sometimes joy looks like trying something new together β even if itβs blue, bubbly, and slightly mysterious. π
Have you ever tried a dirty soda before? Favorite combo? π
