I've been away from this IG account but I haven't been idle. This was a "slow" year on Etsy, comparatively, but it's not a failure; I just made room for different goals, including another trip to serve in Ukraine 🇺🇦💕 I came home with a ton of inspiration and I'm looking forward to sharing new creations with you all in 2025 🫶🏼🤍

My first attempt at Krashanky Ukrainian Easter eggs.

This is different from the batik wax method used for Pysanky; the dye is made with yellow onion peels, the raw eggs are boiled and I found greenery from my yard for the nature-inspired designs.

I'm not happy with the color, as I was hoping for a deeper, richer scarlet. However I didn't properly read instructions until later and used 5 onions instead of 15 😂🤦🏼 There's next time 😄

What a year!

I took that selfie in a village in Ukraine 💙💛 while admiring the of one of the grandmas we were delivering supplies to. So much inspiration from such amazing people!

I enjoyed learning how to macraweave this year and hope to do more 😊

It's bird bath/feeder season! 🐦

I use water-resistant and mold-resistant cord, specifically for outdoor use, to withstand the elements!

The handsome model pictured is my friend Wesley (er, fake Christmas ornament 🤣), who I use for display at my craft shows 🤍

Day 31: Coming soon


Ok I promise I haven't stopped making macrame lol, sometimes I just need a break before I get back at it refreshed with new ideas. And with Easter nearly here I'm enjoying some making писанки.

Looking over all the geometric and traditional patterns for the eggs has reinforced my dream to combine modern macrame with traditional Eastern European folk art to make something uniquely mine, with my past heritage and future mission field in mind. Day 30: Nice words


I was going to post nice reviews I've received but then I read my page a day calendar from .ukraine and thought it was better 💙💛

It says:
"No matter how much time passes and how many changes happen, it is important not to forget to ask 'how are you?' with those you love"

I think these "nice words" articulate how I feel about my business. I enjoy making pretty things, but my greater goal is to use my business as an avenue to love people.
