Dr. James Voos, the head team physician for the Cleveland Browns ๐ , said he has used the NanoNeedle during procedures on five Browns players, including center Luke Wyplerโs ankle fracture surgery.
โAnkles and elbows I think are areas where it has had very great utility and then rapidly adopted,โ said Voos, who also serves as the president of the NFL Physicians Society. โAnd weโre finding more and more uses in the knee and shoulder.โ
Itโs called the NanoNeedle scope 2.0, a miniaturized, flexible version of the traditional arthroscope. Itโs very early โ there is little published research on the model โ but it is accumulating an impressive list of proponents. ๐๏ธ

During the summer of 2026, Big Boy No. 4014 is embarking on its most ambitious trip yet. ๐
Robert LaGruth, an auto mechanic, traveled with his wife from Kilbuck, Ohio, near Sugar Creek, to capture the excitement. After the train rolled past Cove at Detroit Avenue, LaGruth said, โThis was on my bucket list.โ
To celebrate Americaโs 250th birthday ๐บ๐ธ, it will complete a coast-to-coast tour (itโs already finished a western leg through Wyoming, Utah, Nevada and California). Indiana, Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania are first-time destinations for the train. A Philadelphia Fourth of July celebration is also planned. ๐

Farm Dog Fresh, which sells produce from its farm stand ๐ in the West Park neighborhood of Cleveland, is expanding to open two new locations: one in Lakewood at 17112 Madison Avenue, and one in Avon Lake at 33479 Lake Road.
โMost of our produce gets picked on Friday, and then sold Saturday and Sunday, so it doesnโt get too much fresher than that,โ says Farm Dog Fresh owner Riley Meyer. โI think people really like to have that option instead of going to the grocery store, where produce can be sitting for weeks sometimes. You donโt know where itโs coming from, and the quality is just not as good.โ
Farm Dog Freshโs West Park stand, located at 15903 West Park Road in Cleveland, is open Saturdays and Sundays, 9 a.m. โ 2 p.m. The Lakewood location is open Saturdays and Sundays, 9 a.m. โ 2 p.m., and the Avon Lake location is open Saturdays only, 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. ๐๏ธ

While developing Mx. Juneteenth, Ware imagined a space where Black and q***r liberation unite. However, they further shared that their vision hasnโt been well-received by Black, cishet Cleveland residents. Ware said some of the comments theyโve gotten are complaints that Mx. Juneteenth wants to โf-g upโ or โdrag upโ the holiday, among other homophobic reactions. The comments and ongoing anti-LGBTQ+ initiatives like House Bill 249 โ a ban created to, according to The Ohio House of Representatives โ โsafeguard children from adult harms and ensure that young people can grow up in environments that preserve their innocence,โ are part of why Ware named the 2026 Mx. Juneteenth theme โJoy as Resistance.โ
Mx. Juneteenth kicks off with its pre-party on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. at Cocktails Cleveland. Then, the festival starts on June 20, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at North Coast Yard, Clevelandโs downtown lakefront, followed by an after-party featuring artists Enigma and DJ Navy Jayde at Crobar from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Mx. Juneteenth is open to all ages. ๐๏ธ

โWe took our marching orders from our donors and our supporters who were the ones who said we believe those animals, regardless of the cost, deserve the second chance,โ she says. โThe value of animals in society has gone up, and the number of people who consider pets truly to be a member of the family โ their family โ has increased. So, that has made it so much easier for us to get the support we need, and to have the impact weโve had on saving lives that we werenโt able to save previously.โ ๐๏ธ

โIโm not a film snob but I love snobby films. Iโm not afraid of the lowest bit of garbage or the most intimidating three-hour art films. Itโs all just a part of who I am.โ ๐๏ธ
โPartโ is the operative word in that last observation. Huffman is indeed a cinephile of the highest order. He proudly claims to watch 600 films a year, and his tagline on his LinkedIn profile is โI live for moviesโฆโ But film is far from his only pursuit.
Indeed, Huffmanโs previous job wasnโt in film at all but rather in baking. For eight years, he ran (and will continue to run) a business called Bitchy Vegan Homo, a website, store and video series for those looking to bake without animal products. ๐๏ธ

When Franklin Cohen thinks about music ๐ผ, he tends not to start with the clarinet.
Not with an audition, a job, a hall or even The Cleveland Orchestra, where he served for 39 seasons as principal clarinet. He starts with the sound of the human voice. ๐ฃ๏ธ Or with his mother at the piano. Or with children playing in the yard. Or with the three things he says have mattered most to him: โfamily, friends and music.โ
That order is deliberate. On Monday, June 15, ChamberFest Cleveland will honor Cohen with โCelebrating Frank!,โ a concert at Kulas Hall at the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM). The evening is a tribute to the clarinetist, teacher, co-founder, father, colleague and Cleveland musical presence whose influence has spread through orchestras, conservatories, chamber music and his own living room. ๐๏ธ

Ohio workers have a paid-leave bill (SB 396) moving through the State House, and the Cleveland-based Time to Care Coalition is helping push it forward. If passed, Ohio workers will be able to access paid time off to care for a new child, an ill family member or themselves.
Collaborate Cleveland Executive Director Abby Westbrook said the time needed for caregiving often leaves massive assumptions about who is providing care, the time they have to do that and the cost and toll that takes on an individual. Collaborate Cleveland, a local nonprofit focused on women and gender justice across Cleveland, is spearheading the Time to Care Coalition.
โBeyond just these moments of intensive caregiving, this bleeds into all of our day to day โ this tension between how we care for ourselves and our families and how we participate in the paid labor force,โ said Westbrook. ๐๏ธ
