Fun performance at Cain Park in Cleveland Heights yesterday. What an interesting venue right in my backyard!

Many many thanks to Yasuhito Sugiyama for trusting me with the opportunity to keep his chair warm for five shows with The Cleveland Orchestra. Many thanks as well to my family for coming out and supporting me, and to the members of the orchestra for being so welcoming and helpful. This experience has reminded me that in order to achieve the highest of outcomes, we must hold ourselves to the highest of standards.

What an incredible honor and privilege to sit next to my teacher Yasuhito Sugiyama and play with the Cleveland Orchestra this past weekend. Endless thanks to Yasu and The Cleveland Orchestra, this what’s been an opportunity that I will never forget!

Wow! What a huge week playing with the Richmond Symphony in Virginia. After being named runner-up in their principal tuba audition a couple of weeks ago I had hoped I would be making music with this fantastic group soon, but didn’t think I’d be here playing four shows just two weeks later. I’d like to thank everyone in Richmond for being extremely welcoming and supportive, and I hope to make it down here again soon!

What a blast playing with the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra for their holiday pops concert! (I had an honest to goodness solo-that’s not something you get every day as a tuba player!)
