The Production Control Team makes it all happen by providing accurate product inventory, getting materials where they need to be, and helping ensure reliable project timelines are met. They keep everything running seamlessly across departments!

When asked what why does this work matter to you, they said it best: knowing what you do makes a difference. We couldn’t agree more.

Thank you for keeping everything on track. We truly couldn’t do it without you!

We are proud to recognize Amy Raubenolt, HDE’s Machinist Apprentice and Laser Operator, for her achievements at the Florida West Coast Chapter NTMA 35th Annual Apprenticeship and Recognition Banquet that was held on June 12.
Amy received certificates in Measurement, Materials, and Safety, Level 1 Machining Skills, as well as Job Planning, Bench Work, and Layout, Level 1 Machining.
This event brings together the manufacturing community to recognize the hard work and accomplishments of apprentices, and we were honored to be there celebrating alongside Amy.

The Hydro-Dyne team is very proud of Amy’s dedication and continued growth in her craft.
Congratulations, Amy, and thank you for allowing us to celebrate this milestone with you!

Headworks Engineering Academy is all about real-world learning you can actually use.

We bring together classroom discussion, hands-on equipment demos, and facility tours to help engineers and operators better understand headworks design, screening technologies, and how early decisions impact system performance long term.

If you’re looking to sharpen your knowledge, ask better questions on future projects, or see this equipment in action, this is a great opportunity.

Continuing education credits are available for Florida wastewater plant operators, and Professional Engineers receive a certificate of completion for Professional Development Hours.

Registration details are in the comments.

That fin on our logo? It was never just a logo.

Inspired by the shark’s dorsal fin, it reflects our commitment to leading at the apex of our industry through quality, performance, reliability, and value. The grid within the fin represents the screens we manufacture, along with the engineering expertise, craftsmanship, and collaboration behind every solution we build.

Like the shark at the top of the food chain, we strive to lead with precision and purpose. Every product we make is named after these incredible animals as a reflection of that drive. As designers, engineers, machinists, welders, and assemblers, our shared mission is simple: protect what matters. Our work supports cleaner water, stronger ecosystems, and healthier oceans for generations to come.

Happy World Oceans Day from a team that takes this personally! 🦈

That screen is doing more than it looks like. Every piece of debris, every contaminant, every bit of what does not belong — captured before it ever has the chance to reach our waterways and the environments that depend on them.

This is what protecting the environment looks like from the inside. Not a campaign. Not a hashtag. Just equipment doing its job every single day so cleaner water can flow where it needs to go.

At Hydro-Dyne, protecting critical water and wastewater processes is not something we do once a year. It is our mission every single day.

Big day at Hydro-Dyne!

We had Scatter Brothers Productions on site today capturing some really cool behind the scenes footage of our passivation process, also known as pickling. Our own Paul Sitterly walked them through it on camera and did an incredible job explaining how this process enhances the durability and longevity of our equipment.

We cannot wait to share what they captured. Stay tuned! 👀

This Mental Health Awareness month, our team had the opportunity to write "You Matter" notes to one another, and we had helpful mental health tips posted throughout the facility. It was a simple but meaningful reminder that taking care of each other is just as important as the work we do every day.

Thank you to everyone who participated and to our HR team for putting it all together. At Hydro-Dyne, our people always come first.

Meet Michael Herper, our Senior Lead of Sheet Metal and a 19 year veteran of the Hydro-Dyne family!

In his role, Michael oversees the machine shop, material prep, laser, and brake operations. When asked what keeps him excited after all these years, his answer was simple — the variety. There is always something new and different to work on, and that keeps the work feeling anything but routine.

And when the week is done? A good movie and a good drink. We think that sounds just about right.

Thank you for 19 years, Michael. We are lucky to have you!

At Hydro-Dyne Engineering, the American flag hangs proudly in our shop as a visible reminder of the country we’re proud to call home.

Today, we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to it and honor the sacrifice that helps make the freedom to live, work, and build here possible.
