Everybody need to share this with their children and teens. Sit down with them and have a discussion about what the fascism moves that are going on today. Especially how discarding African American history out of school curriculum fits into the narrative. We can't afford to be calm, and quiet. Too everybody, after African American history is rewritten and decimated, then they will rewrite and decimate the next group. This isn't a "their (African American) problem" this is "our" problem. In the spirit of Spike Lee, everybody, "WAKE UP."

It's back to school time for our children. Remember the talk. You know the on where you tell them how excited you are for their success this year. You know, you talk about how awesome it is that they continue to move towards their ultimate goal in life. The talk where you are reminding them of their greatness, and their bright future, and beginning this school year is another step towards the successful adult life they are going to have. So, while you are packing their backpacks, remember to pack their minds with all of the awesomeness they will experience in school. Put a positive spin on their life continuously. It can't hurt.
