Ramshackle is Downtown Clayton's Premier Event that kicks off Summer Annually on the First Saturday in June!

Downtown Main Street will be filled with local merchants, artisans, craftspeople and other vendors, from 10AM until 6PM.

It's a full day and evening of entertainment through downtown featuring an array of local entertainers and the 2026 Ramshackle Rising Star: Jake McCrackin.

Make plans now to go to Downtown Clayton in our beautiful Northeast Georgia Mountains. It's going to be a beautiful day. You never know, you may see me around too.

Have you been to the NEW Clayton Cafe with the NEW owners yet? If not, you should. We are thrilled that Ms. Angie is bringing the Clayton Cafe back to its glory. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Go check them out. They are open Monday through Saturday from 7 am till 3 pm. Breakfast all day and lunch from 11 till 3 p.m. You never know, you may see me there.

It's going to be a beautiful spring day and a perfect day to head to Downtown Clayton in the North Georgia Mountains for the OTM - Of These Mountains Spring Marketplace at the Rabun County Civic Center Pavilions.

The Of These Mountains Marketplace is a fabulous outdoor shopping experience that brings together over 100+ local artists, makers, and small businesses from the surrounding areas.

There will be crafts, food, and entertainment. Shop unique, quality items and support the small businesses and makers that keep small towns vibrant and charming.

They are back for the season and we are thrilled.

Max's Lakeside and the Swing Bar opened back up and on Lake Rabun and everyone is so happy to have them back. The food is great, the atmosphere is fun, and the people are even better. Be sure to go by the next time you are up here in the North Gerogia Mountains. You never know, you may see me there too.

It's that time of year that everyone here in Rabun County and the North Georgia Mountain looks forward to.....Strawberries at .

Don't miss out. Osage is back open for the season everyday from 9am to 6pm. Stop by and pick up fresh vegetables, jams, jellies, and of course their delicious strawberries.

While you are there keep an eye out, you may see me there too.

Spring is here and we are excited that is open for the spring. They are open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday through Sunday.

We are also thrilled to know that a new dining place will be ready soon too. 1967 at Anchorage is hiring their staff and it won't be long until they are ready to serve us all on Lake Burton. Will you be there? I know I will be. Maybe I'll see you there.

Did you know that each weekend in October at the Tallulah Gorge State Park they have an Aesthetic Water Release then in November each weekend they have a Whitewater Release for the boaters. It is a site to behold. Also, the leaves on the trees are just starting to turn these beautiful oranges, reds, and yellows. It won't be long before they are in full autumn colors like you see in this photo.

Make your plans now to come up to the North Georgia Mountains and visit the Tallulah Gorge State Park as well as many of the other wonderful places in the area. It is definitely worth it. I know it is one of my favorite places to be in the fall. Maybe I'll see you there.

The fall is a great time to be in the North Georgia Mountains. Be sure to go to the Tallulah Gorge State Park and check out their aesthetic and whitewater releases. They are incredible. Each weekend in September and October is the Aesthetic releases, and November is the Whitewater releases, where you can see the boaters rage down the gorge. It is definitely a must-see while you are out exploring.
