I don’t recall seeing our ground cracked in the past. That’s how dry it’s been. Fingers crossed for the coming week’s forecast, but the first good storm cells just went around us like Manchester United’s offense.

This time of year always looks so nice. The sheep and goats seem to have the life. It’s only superseded by the life of the dogs, who share the same level of responsibility but are afforded climate control.

We were colder than Caribou, this morning. A little extra effort sprucing up bedding for the animals yesterday was well spent.
They're catching on!
This thing houses a small feeder loaded with oats. The restrictor plate on the front allows the two lambs in, so that they have constant access to the oats (to facilitate the transition to solid foods), while keeping the adults out.

At just a few days old, they're already eating oats and hay.
