BBQ STOP
Barbecue Stop is the result of twenty years on the road participating and winning rib cook off events. Come in and judge for yourself!
We have over 250 awards from cities all across the northeastern U.S. Our recipes and methods of seasoning and smoking our barbecue has been perfected through the feedback of our customers and judges.
We will unfortunately remain closed this week as we regroup and prepare for the future.
Here’s where we are:
• We’re looking for more than just a manager—we need a committed partner or investor to help us rebuild and move forward.
• Our current location has code and building issues (and sits on a closed road with no concrete date for reopening), so we are planning a move to a new space.
• To make that possible, we’ll need both investment and a strong, reliable team in place.
I know many of you noticed changes in the food quality over the past year. I want to sincerely apologize for taking the word of others that our procedures and recipes were being followed. After a thorough audit of ingredients (and taste testing them myself), I can tell you those weren’t our recipes, and I regret defending my previous management’s decisions that were not cleared with me and did not reflect our standards. Our goal is to bring back the authentic BBQ Stop flavor and consistency that our community knows and loves.
This has been a difficult season, but I believe the BBQ Stop can return stronger than ever with the right partner and support. If you or someone you know might be interested in investing or purchasing, please reach out. The ideal candidate will have a business education background, personal references that indicate honesty and trustworthiness, and can pass a background check without any criminal violations.
Thank you for your continued support and patience. I want nothing more than to see The BBQ Stop open and thriving again soon.
Due to unforeseen staffing issues (someone in a leadership role quitting without notice), we will be closed the rest of the week while we regroup. We have all caterings covered. If you have questions please message us here. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We’ll be offering a limited menu this week (as we try to find creative solutions to stay open through the road closure). We’ll have ribs, pork, brisket, and chicken. Collards, slaw, baked beans, and mac and cheese! Try our award-winning Brisket and Mac if you can’t decide!
As always, everything on our regular menu is still available for catering if you give us at least 48 hours advance notice!

RACK OF RIBS FAMILY MEAL DRAWING: This week only, when you purchase a full rack of ribs, you can enter our drawing to win a full rack family meal with 2 sides of your choice and bread, redeemable by the end of the September. We’ll draw a name next week and announce it here!
We are open Wednesday-Friday, 11-8, and Saturday 11 until we sell out!

The most wonderful time of the year has arrived: COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON!
Auburn kicks off against Baylor Friday night, and Alabama will face Florida State Saturday afternoon.
Though we will have a limited restaurant menu through this road closure fiasco, we still have a full catering menu available as long as you give us 48 hours’ notice! (Remember all of our meats are long-smoked, so we need time to serve you fresh!)
Send us a message here for a quote and let us feed your football parties!

We will be open this week with a limited menu Wednesday through Friday, 11am-8pm, and Saturday 11am-6pm.
We are closing today and will be closed on Tuesdays going forward. Come see us tomorrow so we don’t have to close on Wednesdays, too.

Please come see us today. 🙏
We are open this week Tuesday—Saturday, 11am-8pm. However, with the closure of Old Springville Road having such a negative impact on our sales (we are down by more than 50% compared to last summer), we will be reducing our operating days and hours beginning next week. More info to come.
We do still offer catering 7 days a week, and until the road opens again, we will waive delivery fees for catering orders of $100 or more within a 10 mile radius.

Deerfoot is blocked from Clay Chalkville high school to Old Springville Road because the Dollar General is on fire. So you can’t really get to us from either side right now unless you have a helicopter. We hope you’ll come see us this afternoon or evening!
Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone at Dollar General as agencies battle the fire.
