Huffmaster Crisis Response is recruiting experienced CNC Machinist to work during a possible labor dispute for a Manufacturing company located in Michigan, this job action could occur early June 2026.

Pay Rate: $50/hour
Weekly Guarantee: 60-Hours (If Ready, Willing, and Able to Work Each Scheduled Shift)

Basic Requirements:
1 Year of CNC Machinist Experience Within the Last 5-years - OR - 6 Months of Experience Within the Last 3-Years
Must be willing and able to travel and deploy for a minimum of 45-day
Strong attention to detail through repetitive machine operations and measurements to ensure high quality through the production process.
Comfortable working in a cooperative, team oriented, fast paced environment.
Desire to take ownership of your role including performance and attendance accountability.
Willingness to work on traditional and non-traditional shifts
Job Duties:
Obtain raw materials from the Material Handler and place them at your machining station.
Run the first piece and verify that it meets all of the specifications. Receive confirmation from the Department Supervisor or Quality Associate before running the batch.
Operate machine to run the batch of components, continually verifying that the produced parts meet all quality standards and specifications.
Use gauges to ensure produced components meet all specifications and requirements.
Make mechanical adjustments as necessary to keep parts within specifications
Complete SPC charts and attribute chart (list of gauging and dimensions to be checked)
Pack finished products as instructed
Complete all needed documentation and tagging for each tub of materials.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on your machines. (Adding oils and fluids as needed, cleaning, and changing bits)
Keep a safety first mindset by following all safety rules and operating in a safe manner.
Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Perform other related duties as assigned

o No formal education with at least ten (10) years of recent full-time experience as an HVAC/Refrigeration mechanic maintaining and troubleshooting commercial or industrial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and associated controls. This includes but is not limited to servicing:
• At least 20-ton HVAC/Refrigeration systems and/or servicing low temperature refrigeration systems.
• Ability to interface with automated building/refrigeration control systems.
• Recent experience maintaining centrifugal chillers, cascade refrigeration systems, screw compressors, and DOC systems.
• Demonstrate proficiency in testing, adjusting, and balancing HVAC systems.
• Experience calibrating HVAC associated instrumentation.
• Ability to read refrigeration HVAC drawings and electronic/electric/pneumatic control schematics.
• Ability to analyze air conditioning and refrigeration problems and take corrective action.
• Specific HVAC, refrigeration and/or direct digital control vendor training programs.

Duties:
• Installs, maintains, overhauls, operates repairs and troubleshoots refrigeration, air conditioning and air volume equipment and associated control systems.
• Installs, maintains, overhauls, and operates air conditioning and refrigeration equipment including compressors, pumps, ev***rators, expansion valves, solenoid valves, all controls, condensers, and other related parts.
• Ensures compliance with CFC-related refrigeration and qualifications minimizing losses and maximizing recovery via effective leak detection, maintenance procedures and the use of reclaiming, recycling and recovery equipment.
• Monitors and measures pressure drop of HVAC filters and replaces them as necessary, observing all system integrity and safety requirements.
• Utilizes Building Automation System to monitor lyophilazation systems, manufacturing and research environments, refrigeration units, incubators, etc.
• Operates BAS terminals to monitor, troubleshoot and maintain applicable system performance consistent with required unit and area conditions
• Following all change control procedures.
• Troubleshoots and adjusts HVAC systems and air volume control equipment to maintain proper temperature, humidity, and air flow conditions.
• Cleans HVAC coils, ev***rators, and condensers via chemicals, air, special cleaning agents, high pressure wash units, etc. to maintain equipment in good operating condition.
• Repairs and adjusts refrigeration systems to maintain design parameters, e.g. temperature pressure, level, etc.
• Answers alarms associated with monitoring systems and makes routine decisions concerning priority of responses.
• Reads refrigeration/HVAC drawings and electronic/electric/pneumatic control schematics; ability to analyze air conditioning and refrigeration problems and take corrective action.
• Uploads and downloads program and utilizes computer-based Building Automation Systems for trouble shooting and monitoring system performance.
• Communicates effectively with supervisors to provide equipment and system status, parts and other work requirements.
• Operates recovery, recycling, and reclaiming devices to minimize refrigerant impact on the environment.

Recent experience operating centrifugal chillers (electrical and turbine driven) greater than 600 tons.
Recent experience operating air compressors and desiccant air dryers greater than 250 cfm, high purity (WFI and USP grade) water system equipment including reverse osmosis, deionization, v***r compression and multi-effect distillation units.
Preferred - advanced experience in high purity water, cooling towers, water treatment, reverse osmosis, steam utilization, and chiller operation.

Operate distilled water, deionized water, reverse osmosis, water softener, water pretreatment, and reheat systems.
Troubleshoot, maintain, regenerate, acid clean, add, or change resin, and disinfect these systems as necessary.
Monitor capacity of utility services, and quality to ensure proper operation of all utility equipment.
Conduct daily rounds and readings of utility equipment and reports problems to the Manager.
Perform routine testing of water systems, cooling tower water, closed loop cooling and heating systems.
Maintain necessary chemical treatment at specified parameters, e g. level, pH, conductivity, etc.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and emergency repairs as required by the equipment and systems for which they are responsible.
Maintain proper pressures and temperatures in the operation of heating and cooling equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, perimeter heat, reheat etc. systems to meet variable load conditions.
Maintain appropriate oil, glycol and cooling water parameters as required by utility systems.
Ensure proper operation of gauges/instrumentation (temperature, flow, conductivity, resistivity, pH, pressure, etc.) and changes recorder charts as necessary.
Prepare utility equipment and systems for modifications and/or tie-ins
Perform necessary tie-ins, shutdowns and valve isolations.
Maintain utility equipment in good operating condition as it applies to oiling, packing, cleaning, adjustments and safety conditions.
Operate computer workstations for monitoring and operational status of equipment and systems.
