I closed on my 4th deal yesterday, preforeclosure lead. I’ve been working preforeclosures for a while now and it’s extremely rewarding. The owner Jim called me on Sunday after receiving one of my cards. His home was scheduled to go auction today. He recently lost his wife and his daughter, and has been in and out of the hospital himself over the past couple of years. He needed to stay in his home, he is recently retired and can’t afford to go anywhere else. Todd Chunn brought an asset funder to the deal, Mark Abbruzzese, who took out a second mortgage for this man so he can stay in his home. After 3 long days of getting this all quickly prepared at the title company, getting all docs in place, and constantly being on the phone with the mortgage company to stop it from going to auction, we did it. I wasn’t even 100% sure we were going to be able to pull it off (even though Mark and Todd told me not to worry) until I was at the auction today and they DIDN’T read it off!! What a gratifying and awesome experience! Even though if it was read, we would’ve been able to make some calls and get it adjourned, but still… SO COOL!!! This is the second foreclosure deal I’ve been able to get done, with lots of help from Todd of course, but it feels good. Jim was so appreciative, he gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek after we closed 🙂 and so was Rashida, my first foreclosure deal. We’re still friends today. Thank you to everyone who got this done! Todd, Mark, Michigan Investment Title, and Jim. You all are amazing!!
