Haven’t posted in a minute. I've been booked solid, which is always a good problem to have! But figured it’s time for an update.
Just picked up a new Titan 440 Impact sprayer! Big upgrade from the Graco 390 rigs I’ve been running for over a decade. This thing is an absolute beast.
Right now, I'm working on a 100+ year old Victorian home, giving the exterior some serious love and bringing it back to life. Can’t wait to show you all the progress as it comes together. This one’s gonna be a beauty.
Stay tuned, and as always, thanks for the support!

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day 🇺🇸
Today we pause the tools and take a moment to honor the hardworking men and women who keep our country moving forward.
Labor Day was first celebrated in 1894 as a tribute to the American worker’s contributions building communities, shaping industries, and creating the foundation of the lives we enjoy today.
We’re proud to be part of that tradition here in Tennessee. Our crew will be closed for the holiday to rest, recharge, and spend time with family but we’ll be back, ready to get to work for you.
Wishing everyone a safe and relaxing Labor Day!

From Lath to Lasting Legacy: The Story Behind Old-World Plaster Walls
What you’re looking at here isn’t just wood and plaster – it’s a piece of construction history.
Before drywall took over in the mid-20th century, lath and plaster was the way to finish interior walls. Thin wooden strips, called laths, were nailed horizontally to studs. Then came the artistry – plaster was pushed into the gaps, squeezing through and forming “keys” on the back side that locked it in place. It wasn’t just construction; it was craftsmanship.
A Quick Timeline:
1700s–1800s: Plastering was an old-world trade brought over from Europe, with mixtures of lime, sand, and animal hair for strength.
Late 1800s–Early 1900s: Gypsum plaster entered the scene, drying faster and making construction more efficient.
1920s–1940s: Lath and plaster was everywhere in American homes – strong, fire-resistant, and great for soundproofing.
1950s Onward: Drywall replaced it as the cheaper, faster option, but it never matched the same character and durability.
Cool Facts:
Those ridges you see? They’re the “plaster keys” – the hidden anchors that kept walls solid for over a century.
Old plaster was often mixed on-site by hand, sometimes with unique local ingredients – I’ve seen everything from horsehair to straw to seashell dust in it.
Lath and plaster walls are naturally better at regulating humidity, which is why they’ve lasted so long.
We love uncovering these time capsules of craftsmanship. Every strip of lath tells the story of the hands that built it – no mass production, just skill, sweat, and pride in a job done right.
Have an old home? Keep an eye out – you might have history hiding behind your walls.
