Uncommon Good
Empowering families through education, medicine, and the environment
We're so incredibly proud of our class of 2026 graduates! Every single one of our grads completed high school and were accepted into 4-year universities! We can't wait to see what they do next 🧑‍🎓🎉

Introducing the Nancy Mintie Education Fund!
This year, 100% of Uncommon Good’s Class of 2026 was accepted to college.
But getting to campus and staying there comes with unexpected costs many of our students cannot manage alone—a laptop, winter clothing, travel home, textbooks. These are expenses many families absorb, but, for students without a financial safety net, they can become roadblocks to success.
To help meet those needs, we are proud to launch the Nancy Mintie Education Fund, honoring Uncommon Good’s founder, whose vision guided this organization for 25 years.
Your support helps ensure our students can focus on learning, growing, and graduating rather than meeting an unexpected expense.
Gifts of any size make a difference. For example:
$1,000 can help offset the cost of a laptop
$500 can support travel to campus or a visit home
$250 can provide winter clothing for a student heading to a colder climate
$100 can help with dorm essentials
$50 can contribute toward textbooks
$25 gives a student the chance to share a meal and build community on campus
We believe every student deserves not only the opportunity to attend college, but the support to thrive once they arrive. Please join us in carrying that vision forward.

We’re incredibly grateful to Team Scentuary for selecting Uncommon Good as the recipient of this semester’s revenue distribution.
These students build and run their own business from the ground up as undergraduates. Their creativity, leadership, and commitment to community impact are truly inspiring.
The Integrated Business Program at University of La Verne has helped train the next generation of business leaders while also raising nearly half a million dollars in support of regional nonprofits since 2011.
Thank you for investing in student leadership and stronger communities. We’re honored to be part of it!

Healthcare access changes lives and so does supporting the people who provide it.
Through Uncommon Good’s MED program, doctors like Dr. Susana Sandoval are able to serve low-income communities while receiving educational loan repayment support.
The MED program helps to ensure families have access to high-quality, consistent, compassionate medical care close to home.
We’re proud to support healthcare professionals who choose service, community, and care.

At Uncommon Good, we believe every student deserves access to opportunity and a pathway to higher education.
Through our Connect to College program, students receive nearly a decade of mentorship, academic support, college prep, and community.
Today, 98% of our tracked students are either college graduates or on track to earn their degree.
When students are given consistent support and meaningful investment, they rise to meet it. Potential has never been the problem — access has.

For more than 25 years, Uncommon Good has worked alongside students, families, and communities to create pathways to opportunity through education, food access, and healthcare.
We know challenges don’t exist in just one area of life — and lasting change requires support across multiple areas.
That’s why our work centers around three signature programs:
🎓 Connect to College (C2C) expands academic achievement and college access for underserved students in grades 4–12
🌱 Community Alliance for Urban Sustainable Agriculture (CAUSA) increases access to fresh, healthy food
🩺 Medicine for the Economically Disadvantaged (MED) supports healthcare professionals serving low-income communities across Southern California
We’re excited to share more about our programs, partnerships, and impact.
Thank you for being part of our community!
