My paintings are inspired by the beauty and diversity of nature.

Finished two paintings in a weekend? What? The Golden Coast’s background has been painting and taunting me for weeks. Finally figured out what to do with it. California poppies on gold metallic paint for some ✨ My goddess is unnamed and open to ideas. First face with any sort of detail. Lots of texture flowers.

This weekend’s effort to overcome my creative block.

“Don’t Be A Pansy!”

Painted an object I love/comfortable working with in colors I wouldn’t normally pick for the object. It takes some courage to take on overcoming this rut. I’m trying not to be a pansy about my teal and magenta pansies.

Still need to detail, but not to shabby of an end of weekend result.

“Becoming” completed 7/26/25. The first painting I’ve completed in a very long time. Artistic block is real. It finally feels like I am coming back.

2024 was a difficult year artistically. Painting fell to the wayside between creative blocks and life coming at me at full speed. Returning to the studio has been slow but steady. These are my three most recent pieces.

Spring has me dreaming of sunny days and blooms!

First painting I've done 'just because' in several weeks where I'm happy with the end result. Artist block is the worst. Send me your positive vibes and cool flower pictures.

Spent the day with my sister and brother in laws. Painted this for my sis-IL during the visit. Love you, Jennifer and Cody!

Completed at 11pm on 123123. It's been an amazing year of learning, growth, and getting to know folks in my local art community. Looking forward to what this journey brings in 2024. Happy New Year!

Things have been popping in the studio this week. Took a few days off to give myself the gift of rest and immerse in creativity. The results are a finished landscape for my sister, fixed an older painting, and three brand new poppy paintings.

Hope your holiday season has been restful and filled your cup. Cheers to a year that brought my fist sale, artist friends in my guild, and a ton of artistic growth!

Took today off from work to finish up my birthday celebration. I ate cupcakes, binge watched Netflix, and got this peice from sketch to almost done. It's been a good day.
