Color Me Read Little Free Library

Thank you to the neighbor who left the wonderful donation of books in their curbside pickup pile.

Sorry no current updates. The library got put on hold for a few weeks as I had to prep the neighborhood pool for the season. It just opened today so I’m hoping to finish it up this week.

I came back to my steward’s home today with a new roof and shelves. Now she has to sand, paint, and weatherproof me, then I will be all ready to be installed at the pool.

Update: I’ve already got shelves!

Yesterday, my steward winddncer picked me up from a neighbor’s house where I spent a few days having some welding work done. He cut off the old handle, grounded down the spots where the coin box had been, welded in a shelf support, and made and attached a new handle to my door. I am now at my next visit with a different neighbor where my shelves will be installed and a roof added. Teamwork and neighborhood cooperation! Not all HOAs are evil.
