You know this really hurts to shut down this league. After reviewing records this organization was established May of 1966 that is 60 years this league was in pickaway county 😳 and its ashame that we never got any respect to keep this league alive because of not getting equal rights to fields. I am beyond upset. I never wanted to be that person that president to have to shut down something so historical but I tried everyone the board tried. Just wanted to give u all a little insight of when this league opened!

A Farewell to Circleville Girls Softball / Circleville Rec League
With heavy hearts, we announce the closing of the Circleville Girls Softball League, also known as the Circleville Rec League — a league that has proudly served our community since the late 1980s.
This decision did not come lightly. For decades, this league was built on dedication, volunteerism, and an unwavering love for the game and for our girls. Generations of athletes learned teamwork, confidence, and lifelong memories on these fields.
Unfortunately, circumstances beyond our control have forced us into this position. Due to the loss of fields and the city’s refusal to provide our league the same equal opportunity afforded to other youth leagues in town, we have reached a point where continuing operations here is no longer possible. Despite expressing our concerns repeatedly to City Council, the Mayor, and the Park Board, we were turned away time and time again. We were told that a youth league must consist of 50–75% players from within the city of Circleville — a standard that surrounding league presidents know is becoming increasingly unrealistic as youth sports continue to decline everywhere.
This situation was never about the kids — but sadly, it became about power and control rather than opportunity and inclusion. When our backs were pushed against the wall, we were left with no choice.
While it deeply saddens us to close the doors on a league with such a rich history, this is not the end of our mission.
Our board did not give up. Through countless hours, conversations, and exhausted options, we found new ground — literally and figuratively. Our blood, sweat, and tears deserve to be valued, and our athletes deserve a future.
We are proud to announce that this league will live on under a new name and in a new location.
We invite all surrounding counties, families, and athletes to join us as we move forward with the Williamsport Stampede Youth/Rec League.
All ages are welcome — boys and girls — through 12th grade.
To every player, coach, parent, volunteer, and supporter who made Circleville Girls Softball what it was — thank you. You are the reason this league mattered, and you are the reason it will continue, even if the name and location change.
This isn’t goodbye to the game.
It’s goodbye to a chapter — and hello to a new beginning as we take over the Williamsport Stampede youth/rec league make sure to check us out there and keep this league alive registrations will be open soon!

At dukes and duchess meeting for parade

Reminder anyone that was in summer spring or fall ball with Circleville girls and boys rec league are welcome to come out to the parade tonight at 8pm. Must be in line at 730ish. We will meet at CVS to get on trucks unless I post other wise last time they had use on Franklin behind cvs so if u dont see us out front of CVS check behind CVS. Can't wait to see everyone again I have 5 trucks let's fill em up and scream loud!

Forgot to post some pics of our 12u Hummel and plum team having fun winning games stealing bases and eating the sweet treats after with dairy queen. Congrats ladies keep up the good work.

Its that time again! Pumpkin 🎃 🎃 show parade.. this year we will be in the Thursday night parade at 8pm. Need to be in the line up at 730 near CVS. I am needing 5 pickup trucks if anyone wants to volunteer!!. All summer divisons will be invited as well as the current fall season going on boys and girls! Wear your jersey of the team u was on!
