All levels are accepted, the only requirement is a love to sing! Tamara, or as her students refer to her "Mrs. K", has always been a performer.

Her first "performance" was at the age of three... She stood-up on her "stage" in the airport, and sang & danced for the entire crowd... It was at that moment she was hooked! Tamara grew-up in Cinnaminson, NJ where she found her home in the music department. She was involved in every music opportunity (both in and out of school) her schedule would allow. Her mother was a constant support through e

very show, dance class, acting class, voice lesson, and such... every step of the way. After graduating from Cinnaminson High School, she joined a musical touring group called "Up With People". This group allowed her to travel the world while performing. It was a wonderful experience to start her off in the touring world she would soon become accustomed to. After this year long tour, there was no question what her next move was... college. As much as she knew performing was what she wanted, she also knew just how important a degree was as well. Tamara attended Shenandoah Conservatory, and four years later she graduated ('02) with a BFA in Musical Theater. She enjoyed every second of her college years!... Now it was time to get out there in the "real world" and use her craft in the professional world! As with any new venture, its was a rocky start. But anything worth having is worth working for, and with her never ending "passion & persistence", Tamara soon found herself traveling the world performing professionally. She has been to the other side of the world and back with performing... literally. It has taken her to places such as Germany, Sweden, Denmark, The Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, India, Thailand, Guam, and all over Canada and the great USA! Along the way she began teaching voice lessons, acting classes, theater warm-up classes, and directing various productions. She realized the beauty in teaching your passion is a beauty like no other. It is a chance to share the most honest and precious thing anyone has to offer... themselves. As of 2010, Tamara has found roots back where she grew up... Cinnaminson, NJ. Through all of her traveling she realized home truly is where the heart is. It's not in a place, it's in who you surround yourself with. Tamara now lives in Cinnaminson with her husband Steve, son Hunter & daughter Hannah! Tamara started her very own private vocal studio, located in Cinnaminson as well. She still performs professionally in the tri-state area. Some of you might have seen her recently at Media Theater as Rona in "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee", or perhaps in one of her cabaret's around the area through her company "TLK Studio", or maybe you even saw her singing at a wedding you attended. I need to know in the next few coming weeks/before the last day in April, and this can be told to me at lessons...

What song are they singing?

Songs must be fully memorized / performance ready by the 2nd week in May. As this recital is meant to show the hard work & growth singers have made over their year of study, recital soloists are those who have been studying with TLK Studio for 6+ months over this past year. If you just signed on a few months ago, you will be invited to perform next year, but please know you are invited to come cheer on other studio members performing for this year!

The recital is fully free of cost to everyone! No tickets to purchase or cost to perform. This is something I do for my stars and their families. I will again this year be asking for donations, which will go directly to a music/theater charity! There will be a bin for cash, and you can send donations via zelle, paypal or venmo as well!

𝑻𝑳𝑲 𝑺𝑻𝑼𝑫𝑰𝑶 𝑾𝑰𝑳𝑳 𝑵𝑶𝑾 𝑶𝑭𝑭𝑬𝑹 𝑺𝑼𝑴𝑴𝑬𝑹 𝑳𝑬𝑺𝑺𝑶𝑵𝑺!!!

Yes, you read that correctly! TLK Studio is now offering Summer Lessons! I have been slowly talking to students about it, but I also wanted to make sure to notify parents as well...

While I (Mrs K) do not teach lessons in the summer, Mr Luke (TLK Studio's new Associate Voice Teacher) will be! As of June 1st, I am done teaching till September. That said, if any of you would like to continue your lessons through the summer, Luke will have availability to take on some of you throughout the day... Mornings, Afternoons and evenings as school is out!

Luke studied with me all through his middle and high school years, received his BA in Theater & Vocal Performance, and is now my Music Director for Dream Big Shows too! He is wonderful! You can study with him for the entire summer or just a few to prep for upcoming shows. You can stay with him for the summer and come back to lessons with me in September OR... You might even find you really click with him and want to stay with him in September and moving forward! Either way, I fully support it!
