Today, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Health Resources and Services Administration announced a decision to decertify Network for Hope, the organ procurement organization serving nearly 7 million people across four states since 2024.
Network for Hope strongly disagrees with this decision and will pursue all available legal remedies to challenge and overturn it.

August is National Minority Donor Awareness Month.
This month shines a light on the need for more organ, tissue, and eye donors in multicultural communities and the importance of equitable access to transplantation.
Today, nearly 62% of people waiting for a transplant are from multicultural communities. Because compatible matches are more likely to come from donors with similar genetic ancestry, every donor registration has the potential to make a difference.

Happy West Virginia Donor Day. 💙💚⛰️ Today, we're celebrating the generosity, compassion, and community that make West Virginia so special—and honoring the families whose loved ones continue to leave a lasting legacy through donation.
One of those families is Shirley and Kimmie Bowman.
On Aug. 1, 2022, Shirley's husband and Kimmie's father, James Cremeans, became a tissue donor in Huntington, West Virginia.
Today, they honor his legacy by sharing his story, advocating for organ, tissue and eye donation, and finding connection through the Network for Hope Family Aftercare program.

When Sera Davis was born with kidney damage, her mom, Hali, made a promise: her diagnosis would never define her.
Through doctor's appointments, medications, dance, swimming and sleepovers, they focused on helping Sera experience everything life had to offer.
After receiving a life-saving kidney transplant from a 21-year-old living donor who didn't want another child to suffer, Sera is thriving.
