ProAmpac and Ozzi Named Finalists for World Food Innovation Awards 2026 with Moisture Adsorbing Technology

We are proud to announce that our Moisture Protect MP-1000, in collaboration with Ozzi, has been named a Finalist for the World Food Innovation Awards 2026 in the Best Technology Innovation category.

Part of our ProActive Intelligence® platform, MP-1000 is a patent-pending film technology that actively adsorbs moisture from package headspace, eliminating the need for desiccant packets while maintaining strong barrier performance and product integrity.

Dry by Design: ProAmpac and Ozzi Tackle Moisture at the Source

We are proud to announce the successful commercialization of ProActive Intelligence® Moisture Protect MP-1000, a breakthrough active packaging technology developed in collaboration with Ozzi, a brand specializing in stick-pack formats for sensitive powdered products.

Ozzi partnered with us to solve taste and odor issues caused by excess moisture trapped inside stick packs. Traditional packaging couldn’t keep the interior dry enough, which affected product quality and reduced shelf life.

By switching to the MP-1000 packaging, Ozzi dramatically improved performance. MP-1000 actively removes moisture from the package interior, helping protect flavor, prevent unwanted odors, and maintain overall product quality.
