Kya Apperson recently joined the team and has dove right into the mix supporting our team detailing, modeling, and getting her boots dirty 🥾 onsite using the Matterport camera system. Drawn to design at a young age as an outlet for creativity and problem solving, she has come to Advantage with solid professional experience in the residential world 🏠 and hasn't missed a beat applying that to commercial structures 🏬 Outside the office you'll find her on the trail camping or hiking 🏕️ with her four-legged friends 🐶

Cincinnati has many great traditions, the Flying Pig Marathon is one of them. This past weekend we were well represented by four of our engineers completing the half marathon. Training together they kept each other accountable and pushed each other to achieve their goals.

They were cheered on by an awesome crowd of family, friends and a special shout out to our very own Mario Castañón for capturing the action and for cheering them on as they conquered the course.

Matterport's lidar scans are a valuable tool when working with existing buildings. Accurately documenting existing conditions is crucial to providing accurate construction documents for these projects. It is taking us to some new and interesting places in the process. We are testing the limits of applying this technology to new and creative solutions for our clients.

Witnessing the transformation of historic buildings brings back the past in countless ways. Often we think of how people used a space or what life was like back then. On a lighter note, we unexpectedly we came across this doodle, presumably by the steel laborers. This masterpiece most likely hasn't seen the light of day for almost 100 years. Some things don't change, I am sure when they drew it, they thought this was hidden away, never to be seen again. Well here it is on Facebook for all to see. 😄
