Thankful for the thoughtful feature in on our upcoming exhibition at Studio Kroner.

The Warriors, Builders & Weavers of Cincinnati’s Foodshed explores the people and enterprises shaping our collective food system — and the conversations we need to have about its future.

Huge thanks to Julie Mullins for the strong, nuanced coverage. We appreciate the great work.

A local, family-owned business, Clifton Natural Foods opened in 1985. In 2014, it moved to 336 Ludlow Avenue, where, with its wide range of products, it instantly became clear that it was a perfect fit for the Gaslight District. For those of you who shop at Clifton Natural Foods, what are some things that you like to purchase there? This can include anything - produce, vitamins, supplements, pet food, coffee, bulk food, body care, spices, kombucha, baked goods - you name it. They pack a lot into the store, so it never hurts to hear people's recommendations!

Who is Maria Chavez?
Chavez defines herself as an abstract turntablist, sound artist, and DJ, who uses broken records, chance, and failure to create her artwork across multiple mediums. She performs with a rare needle, the RAKE Double Needle, which can play two segments of a record simultaneously. This needle combined with her broken records creates unique soundscapes that are different with each performance.

We're excited to see you!

Blue

'Blue has no dimensions, it is beyond dimensions... Blue suggests the sea and sky, and they, after all, are in actual, visible nature, what is most abstract.' - Yves Klein (1928–1962) 💙

Klein made around 200 monochrome paintings using IKB (International Klein Blue). For Blue Monday today, we are sharing Number 79. 🟦
