“No one talks about this part of getting older in your career… but Rebecca is living it right now.”

Rebecca is 50 years old and has spent the last 14 years bartending at some really great, high-end spots. She knows her craft, she knows how to take care of people, and she’s not new to the industry by any means.
Lately, though, she’s been trying to make a move, looking for a place that’s consistently busier, a little more fast-paced.
Here’s what she can’t figure out…
She applies.
Her resume looks solid (she’s even had people review it).
These places say they’re hiring.
And yet… nothing. No calls. No interviews. Just silence.
It’s frustrating and honestly, confusing.
Is it the industry right now?
Is it something she’s not seeing?
Or is there something bigger going on that people don’t say out loud?

Kim’s story is hitting a lot of people right in the gut…

Earlier this year, her fiancée left. Around the same time, she was passed over for a promotion she had worked years toward and truly believed she had earned. And if that wasn’t enough, she’s also lost both of her parents within the last two years.
She says she’s done everything she can to keep showing up and stay positive… but now it’s catching up to her. She’s exhausted all the time, has gained weight, and just doesn’t have the motivation to take care of herself anymore.
Her words: “I can never quite get my footing again before something else knocks me down.”
She’s not at a dangerous breaking point but she admits she finally understands how people can slip into that “why does everything happen to me?” mindset.
So now she’s asking:
How do you stop yourself from spiraling when it feels like every part of your life is falling apart at the same time?
