Guitar Lessons with Jonny A
Offering guitar , ukulele and bass guitar lessons in my home studio in Anderson and online via Zoom as well as group classes the Anderson are. in Music Ed.
I have going over 38 years of teaching experience, a B.A. with a concentration in Classical Guitar. Guitar lessons with Jonny A is a great way to learn about my service and facilities I provide my lessons in. I also keep students and parents informed of seasonal programs and specials offered, as well as specials on other services and products offered.
What's best for me or my child, group or private lessons? Group classes offer a few key things. 1). Price. Your'e getting a 50 minute lesson for $20. In that 6 week session I'm going to cover essentially the same things I would in the first 6 weeks of private lessons. 2). social interaction. My youth and adult class, I see friends joining together as a fun activity they can enjoy. I see people make new friends as well. Its great. Private lessons however offer more in depth instruction focused entirely on you, your musical tastes ability level etc. I can also focus more on note reading, which while I do cover in group, is really difficult to fully comprehend in s group setting. 2) Private lessons are available Tuesday Through Saturday, not only Mondays like group. I often recommend as 6 week group session followed by private lessons as a cost effective way to begin your guitar journey.

Week #3 of helpful tips. As early as you can, find others to play with. it doesnt have to be serious. (With the exception of solo finger style guitar,) It can be anyone and any instrument, any style of music. You will leave that situation a better player. There is not one person I've ever played with that I didnt learn something from. Dont shy away from players who are better than you, seek them out. That will encourage you to work harder. And, at the end of the day, it's just fun. Cant find anyone? Backing tracks can be the next best thing. as good as a live musician?, no, but better than nothing? yes.
