Our Summer Reading Pizza Party was a blast!

Kids and teens have until July 31 to complete the Summer Reading program and earn cool prizes, like a free book and Reds tickets!

This Summer Reading- Camp Read! event is part of our Gold Star Featured Program series, presented in partnership with Gold Star Chili. Enjoy extra reading fun with giveaways brought to you by Gold Star, while supplies last.

Summer is here! Join us for snacks, music, games, and details on how kids and teens can participate in Summer Reading at CHPL.

We will have a pizza party from 12-2 p.m. and both indoor and outdoor events throughout the day!

Adults can learn how to identify the stars, constellations, and planets of the night sky in summer! Presented by stargazing expert Dean Regas.

Curious about what plants and animals live in Avondale? Join us for nature discovery with experts using iNaturalists! Snacks and beverages provided.

Special guest "MoPoetry" Phillips of the Arts Equity Collective is joining Pizza & Poems this Friday! In celebration of National Poetry Month, kids, teens, and all ages are invited to exchange and recite poetry from different poets.

Twins Agnelle and Mabelyn (with their mother Felicity) ended their Library Visit Challenge at Avondale yesterday afternoon! It was a sweet celebration. We all loved seeing all of their stamps.

Avondale Branch Library celebrates National Poetry Month with poems and pizza! We will take time to exchange and recite poetry from different poets celebrating their craft, art, and words. A selection of poems will be available for you to choose from, or you can bring your own to share. Food & drinks will be available.
