Fourgotten Paws Animal Rescue

We wish to more formerly announce with our last foster, Aubrey, getting adopted over the weekend, Fourgotten Paws Animal Rescue will be dissolving by the end of the year. As a small rescue, we have always worked with limited resources such as funds, volunteers and especially foster homes. This has been especially true in the last year thus our board has made the difficult decision that our time has come to an end.
We never intended to be a large rescue as our intentions were always to give specialized care to those animals in need, to treat each rescue as an individual, to find the best placement and forever home for each one.
We are very proud of the work we have done. We have cared for and found loving forever homes for 1094 homeless cats and dogs and have tirelessly tried to educate on adoption, spaying and neutering and care for animals.
We could not have accomplished any of this without our fosters, volunteers and many supporters over the years. We are extremely grateful to everyone who helped us along the way however small it made a huge difference to us and every one of our rescues! THANK YOU!

After a long search Queso has found his forever home. We could not be happier for him. It's the best fit we could hope for him. He still has issues with anxiety and that may always be there but he has come a long long way.

Wish everyone took this to heart. Unfortunately people still tend to surrender pets when they are no longer convenient to them. It's very frustrating not to mention devastating to the cat or dog. Just our observation.

Aubrey is still needing a forever home. She is a beautiful cat and super friendly. She is only a year old and was a very young momma. She is still very inquisitive and playful. She loves everyone and everything. She gets along with kids. Cats and dogs. She is a happy girl. She is in a foster home right now but her energy level is causing distress to another foster cat who needs a calm home. We need to find Aubrey a home asap. She is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines. Her adoption fee is waived for an approved application.

This little Nugget has been here before. Queso was rescued by us last September. He came from a very abusive situation.
He was obviously extremely fearful of people. He made a lot of progress and was adopted in the Spring but his new home was not the best fit for him and he came back to us. He has made incredible progress. He approaches people on his own now. He walks great on a leash and actually goes for a 3 mile walk everyday. He loves to ride in the car and pretty much is happy wherever you are and he is at your side. Will he ever be "perfect"? We have no idea but he certainly deserves a chance like any other dog.
He needs someone who he can hangout with a lot. He doesn't care for loud noises or raised voices. He does not care for Led Zeppelin I am sorry to say. He is crate trained and house broken. He is a very sweet boy looking for a forever companion who has the patience to let him work through his anxiety however long it may take. He will get there eventually.
In the meantime he is still a great dog.

Tiny Dancer and Aubrey are still looking for their forever homes. TIny is a very quiet and laidback cat. Aubrey is an active and super friendly cat. Both of these cats need to find homes.

Tiny Dancer is still waiting for a forever home. She is a very sweet and calm kitty. She is fiv positive but is currently living amicably in foster care. She is now current on vaccines and has had a teeth cleaning and is ready to go.

Rain and Rock have a new family. We know they will love it!
