Grace Shields works as a Communications Associate at Interact for Health, an organization that works to ensure people in Greater Cincinnati are healthy and thriving, regardless of who they are or where they live. Grace is passionate about arts and crafts and how creativity shapes young people's development, giving them tools to express themselves and make sense of the world around them.
Originally from Columbus, Grace moved to Cincinnati to attend the University of Cincinnati, where she graduated in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in public relations. She has stayed in the city since and volunteers with Artmarkit and in her neighborhood of Evanston.
Grace is excited to join this cohort to learn how to show up for young people on a systems level: not just supporting them one-on-one, but understanding the structures that shape their everyday lives, and how she can help build ones that serve them better.
In case you missed it, The Rippel Foundation recently featured Interact for Health’s Ashlee Young and Caitlin Bentley-Thayer on their ReThink Health Toolbox webinar. No matter your role or sector, this webinar will help you translate big ideas into actionable strategies for investing in the vital conditions that support thriving communities.
