LifeSpring is about loving and leading one step closer to Jesus no matter where you are in your faith

LifeSpring Christian Church began in 1931 as the Chase Avenue Church of Christ in Northside. The church relocated to North College Hill in 1969 and became Clovernook Christian Church. In 2004 the name was changed to LifeSpring Christian Church in preparation for becoming a multi-site church.

This past Sunday, Dan walked us through the book of Judges and the cycle of drift that God’s people experienced time and time again. The Israelites would turn away from God, face the consequences of their sin, cry out for help, and God, in His mercy, would raise up a deliverer to rescue them.
While thousands of years have passed, that cycle can still show up in our lives today. Sin can lead to guilt, shame, and spiritual oppression. But when we acknowledge our need for God and turn back to Him in repentance, we find forgiveness, restoration, and peace through Jesus Christ.
The good news is that God never intended for us to live chained by our failures. Jesus, our ultimate Deliverer, has already paid the price for our sin. Because of Him, we can walk in freedom, leave guilt behind, and live with purpose as we follow His calling on our lives.
No matter where you find yourself today, God’s grace is greater, His mercy is available, and His peace is waiting.

"Then the Lord raised up judges, who saved them out of the hands of these raiders. Yet they would not listen to their judges but prostituted themselves to other gods and worshiped them. They quickly turned from the ways of their ancestors, who had been obedient to the Lord’s commands. Whenever the Lord raised up a judge for them, he was with the judge and saved them out of the hands of their enemies as long as the judge lived; for the Lord relented because of their groaning under those who oppressed and afflicted them. But when the judge died, the people returned to ways even more corrupt than those of their ancestors, following other gods and serving and worshiping them. They refused to give up their evil practices and stubborn ways." -Judges 16-19

Israel’s cycle of rebellion and rescue reveals a deeper issue of the heart. God raises deliverers not because the people deserve it, but because He is compassionate. This week our Associate Minister, Dan Burton, talked on how we confront patterns that pull us away from God. Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than the start of summer or a long weekend—it is a sacred reminder of sacrifice, courage, and love for others.

As we gather with family and friends today, may we also take time to reflect with gratitude for those who laid down their lives so that we could enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.

At LifeSpring Christian Church, we are thankful for every service member and every family who carries the weight of that sacrifice. We pray for peace, comfort, and strength for those remembering loved ones today.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

May we live with grateful hearts and never forget.

We had a great Sunday service! Our lead pastor, Tim Dunn, spoke on how Joshua stepped into leadership with fear and promise colliding. God’s command is clear: be strong and courageous, for He is present. This week we step forward together into what God has prepared. Act courageously in obedience, trusting God’s presence.
