Last week, we celebrated our 5th graders who are getting ready to move up to Student Ministry… oh, how they will be missed but we are so excited to see them continue to grow in their walk with Jesus!

On Sunday, our preschoolers learned about how Jesus traveled through a place called Samaria. The people in Samaria did not worship God in the same way that Jesus and the disciples did. So, a Samaritan woman was surprised when Jesus asked her for a drink of water from the well.

Jesus loves everyone, everywhere! Jesus told her that
He is the special Person God sent to rescue everyone; He is God’s Son!

The Samaritan woman was so excited that she told everyone about Jesus. Jesus loved and cared about the Samaritan woman and the people in her town, even though they were different, because Jesus cares about everyone!

Talk more about that with your preschooler this week while you are on the go.

This week, our elementary kiddos followed Saul, now called Paul. After many years of traveling and starting new churches, Paul was arrested, and sent to Rome for trial.

Along the way, Paul faced a two-week storm at sea, shipwreck, and snakebite... Paul had every reason to lose faith and give up! But through it all, he continued to trust and listen to God.

Paul's story helps us to remember "Don’t give up on God
when bad things happen".

Help your kiddo talk about practical ways our memory verse comes in handy this week.

This week our preschoolers learned about Zacchaeus, a tax collector, who had taken so much money from
people that it was unfair.

One day Zacchaeus climbed a fig tree just to see Jesus, and Jesus stopped. He called Zacchaeus by name and wanted to go to Zacchaeus’ house. Jesus knew that Zacchaeus had done wrong things, but Jesus loves and cares for everyone—no matter what!

And Zacchaeus changed! He promised to give back the money he had taken and much more. Jesus did not just come to help people who do the right thing all the time. Jesus came to help people who are sick and hurting and do wrong things, like Zacchaeus, because Jesus cares about everyone!

This week, our elementary kids continued trekking through the the Bible and the good work Jesus left for us to do as we learned about the model religious leader Saul and how he traveled to Damascus to arrest Jesus' followers.

But on the road, he had a dramatic meeting with Jesus that left him blind. When God sent Ananias to help restore Saul’s sight, Saul began to see everything in a brand-new light. Instead of arresting Jesus followers, Saul preached about Jesus so persuasively that even a plot to kill Saul couldn't stop him.

Saul was forever changed! Saul took on a new identity in Jesus, and became known as Paul. So much of what we know about Jesus, we learn from Paul's writings in the Bible.

God can help us see things in a new way!

This week, our elementary kids kicked off a brand new month following Peter and John to the Temple, where they met a man who couldn't walk.

When Peter healed the man through the power of the Holy Spirit, the religious leaders had Peter and John arrested. But when they questioned the men, Peter and John showed that even though they’re ordinary men, they had authority from Jesus.

And when the leaders warned them to quit preaching, Peter and John refused to stay silent. We learn from the courage of these guys to “Keep going because of what God has done"!
