Congratulations to Government Strategies Group's Anne Sesler for her years of dedicated service on the City of Cincinnati's Planning Commission. Her work supported thoughtful, sound planning that helped to make Cincinnati a more vibrant, thriving city. She also worked tirelessly on long-range and strategic planning and on fostering sustainable development in our city.

Government Strategies Group's Chip Gerhardt and Doug Moormann were on-hand for the annual DeWine Ice Cream Social Sunday this past weekend. It was the 50th year for this special event that draws people from across Ohio to the Governor's home in Cedarville. A great summertime tradition!

Government Strategies Group was proud to be among the sponsors of this incredible event that honors fathers and supports Talbert House's Fatherhood Project, a program that assists men in their efforts to become committed and nurturing dads.

A special congratulations to the 2026 honorees, Father of the Year and Keynote Speaker, Thane Maynard, and Fatherhood Project Graduate of the Year, Jess James.

There's going to be fireworks on the Fourth of July! Thanks in large part to Government Strategies Group's Anne Sesler.

When the future of the Ault Park Fireworks was in doubt, Anne and other volunteers stepped up to help preserve one of Cincinnati’s most beloved traditions so the celebration could continue. She immediately got to work doing what she does best, connecting with city leaders, community partners, and Councilmember Seth Walsh to find a path forward for this beloved 60-year community tradition.

Thanks to Anne, Brittany Speed, countless volunteers, and generous community supporters, families will once again gather in Ault Park this Fourth of July to celebrate a tradition that has brought neighbors together since 1967.

"It's a big production," Anne says. "We're doing everything we can to keep it going for future generations."

An exciting day for Cincinnati State Technical and Community College! Government Strategies Group successfully advocated with Congressman Landsman, Senator Moreno, and Senator Husted to secure $3 million in Congressionally Directed Spending for improvements to Cincinnati State's Advanced Manufacturing facilities. This project received strong bipartisan support and represents a meaningful investment in the future of our region.

Government Strategies Group's Doug Moormann recently moderated the Regional Growth panel at the Cincinnati Chamber’s Regional Government Day. The discussion brought together elected officials, community leaders, and Chamber members, creating a valuable opportunity to connect around shared goals and key business priorities. We were proud to help facilitate a conversation focused on the region’s momentum, and how to build on it moving forward.

Government Strategies Group was delighted to participate in the launch of Keep Cincinnati Beautiful's Imagine the Impact campaign, held at the organization’s future home in the historic Harry Hake Building. The campaign is about more than restoring a historic space—it’s an investment in Cincinnati’s future, strengthening neighborhoods, and expanding work that touches thousands of lives each year. We are so fortunate to have this wonderful organization in our city!

Government Strategies Group team member Anne Sesler traveled with friends to our nation’s Capitol last week where they attended the First Ladies Luncheon at the Washington Hilton. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon in DC!

The Cincinnati Metro leadership team recently hosted a briefing with local legislators, including an opportunity to meet new CEO Andy Aiello and learn more about his vision and priorities for Metro. Legislators also received updates on current services, upcoming Bus Rapid transit lines, and improved routes across the region. Government Strategies Group was excited to be involved in such an engaging session highlighting the future of transit in our area.
