Today, we honor Juneteenth—a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates the resilience, achievements and enduring contributions of Black Americans.
At Caracole, we believe health equity and racial equity go hand in hand. As we celebrate freedom, we recommit ourselves to the ongoing work of advancing a more just and equitable future for all.
We’re proud to support the Cincinnati Juneteenth Festival and encourage our community to celebrate this weekend at Eden Park, or other community Juneteenth events. Learn more about the Eden Park festival activities at juneteenthcincinnati.org.
In observance of Juneteenth, our office will be closed on Friday, June 19. We’ll reopen on Monday, June 22.

🎨 We believe art changes lives. Tomorrow, you can help make it happen.
Caracole is honored to be one of the nonprofits featured in this year's Art In Action exhibition, thanks to local artist Tom Owen, who selected our mission as the inspiration for his work.
Join us for the Art In Action Fundraiser Event this Wednesday and explore incredible local art while supporting organizations making a difference across our community. When Tom's artwork is sold, 40% of the proceeds benefit Caracole and our work to improve the health and well-being of our community.
And there's even more reason to join us! Thanks to a matching gift from Jennifer and Mark Stuhlreyer, these donations during the event will be doubled. Plus, one participating nonprofit will be selected as the beneficiary of the evening's raffle—last year's raffle winner received an additional $665 in support.
Come enjoy an evening of art, community and impact, and help cheer on Tom as he shares his talent in support of Caracole.
🗓 Wednesday, June 17 | 6:00–9:00 PM
📍 Millcroft Gallery | 203 Mill Street, Milford, OH
A heartfelt thank you to Tom Owen for believing in our mission and using his creativity to help build a healthier, more compassionate community.
We hope to see you there!

SEVEN THOUSAND handouts. 🤯
A huge shoutout to the local Starbucks leadership team who joined our incredible Caracole volunteers last week to assemble Pride handouts that we'll be sharing along the Cincinnati Pride Parade route.
Starbucks has been a longtime partner—from fueling our annual AIDS Walk + Run 5K/10K with hundreds of cups of coffee to rolling up their sleeves at volunteer events with us for many years.
To everyone who pitched in: thank you for showing up. We couldn't do what we do without this incredible community behind us.

We’re helping a small family move into their first apartment and are looking for a few household essentials to help them get started.
Do you have any gently used cookware, kitchen utensils or a working TV that you’re no longer using? If so, we’d love to have them! Your donation can make a meaningful difference as someone settles into their home and begins a new chapter.
If you’d like to donate, please send us a message or contact us at [email protected]
Thank you for helping Caracole create welcoming homes, one item at a time.
