Every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported at school.
Through COCA’s prevention education, students learn to recognize the main types of abuse—physical, verbal, sexual, and neglect—as well as bullying behaviors, including physical, verbal, sexual, social, and cyberbullying. Just as importantly, they are given a safe space to speak up and share if they are experiencing or have experienced harm.
We also partner with schools to strengthen child abuse and bullying policies and offer consultation services to support safe, responsive environments for every student.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to highlight the importance of mental well-being for individuals and families. Parents and caregivers are often the first to notice when something feels different in a young person. Changes in mood, sleep, appetite, energy, or behavior can be early signs that a child may need support.
Trust your instincts. Starting a conversation and seeking help early can make a meaningful difference in a young person’s life.
