What supplements should every woman in consider taking? 🤔 (These are great to be used with or without hormone therapy. 🤌🏻)

☑️ Pregnenolone: This is a precursor hormone that will help support & bolster your body’s natural hormone production (DHEA, progesterone, testostēronē, & estrogen). Safe to take with or without HRT!

☑️ Vitamin D3 + K2: Vitamin D is absolutely essential for hormone synthesis. Also incredible for mood, brain health, bone health, and overall hormone support.

☑️ Iron: If your ferritin or iron is low, I would highly recommend supplementing with iron. We recommend ferrous bisglycinate paired with vitamin C. Also great for thyroid support!

☑️ Magnesium Glycinate: Incredible for sleep, anxiety, digestion, cognitive function, and nervous system support!

☑️ Bonus: L-theanine: If you are struggling with insomnia, anxiety, anxiety related symptoms, or elevated cortisol, I would definitely recommend adding L-theanine to your daily routine. 🙏🏼

As a general rule of thumb, supplements are great for managing mild symptoms, but if you are taking multiple supplements a day and still aren’t getting full relief, this might be your sign that it’s time to explore hormone therapy to help get your body back on track! 🥹🫶🏻

🚩 Red flag symptoms we see in women with ADHD that scream (even if your labs are ‘normal’ 👀)

Hormonal transitions (puberty, postpartum, perimenopause) are high-risk windows for symptom escalation in women with ADHD.

New research recently published in the Journal of European Psychiatry proves that women with ADHD are more likely to experience perimenopause symptoms earlier (with increased severity) compared to women without ADHD.

This research validates trends that we have seen in our patients for years: Perimenopause hits women with ADHD harder & faster. 🫠

Hormonal fluctuations & decline during perimenopause take a massive toll on the ADHD brain. It’s important to understand that perimenopause doesn’t cause ADHD, it just exposes what hormones were compensating for.

Here’s what’s happening… 👇🏻
☑️ Dopamine & norepinephrine instability
☑️ Reduced prefrontal cortex efficiency
☑️ GABA deficiency
☑️ Increased cortisol sensitivity
☑️ Nervous system dysregulation
☑️ Loss of hormonal buffering
☑️ Sleep & circadian disruption
☑️ Reduced emotional inhibition
☑️ Decreased stress resilience
☑️ Increased sensory processing sensitivity

If you have ADHD and perimenopause or menopause feels like it hit you harder than everyone else… you’re not imagining it. This is what happens when hormones, dopamine, sleep, and nervous system regulation collide.

You’re not broken. 🥹🫶🏻

If your doctor keeps telling you that your thyroid labs are ‘normal’ even though you feel like 💩… keep watching!! 👀

Most providers do not run comprehensive thyroid labs, and the ones that do are probably only referencing the standard lab ranges and slapping a gold star on your results. 🙄

Common symptoms of low or suboptimal thyroid function include…

👉🏻 Chronic fatigue & low energy
👉🏻 Unexplained weight gain or difficulty losing weight
👉🏻 Brain fog & poor concentration
👉🏻 Depression or low mood
👉🏻 Anxiety
👉🏻 Hair thinning or loss
👉🏻 Dry skin, hair, & nails
👉🏻 Feeling cold all the time
👉🏻 Constipation or slowed digestion
👉🏻 Muscle weakness, aches, or joint pain

If any of this sounds familiar, save this video & compare your most recent labs to the ranges above. And if your doctor won’t run a comprehensive thyroid panel… we will. 🫶🏻

Here’s everything I take as a 31 year old in menopause to help me sleep like a baby 😴 (This cocktail works for & menopause 🤌🏻)

I take all of my meds/supps around 8pm, and my goal is to be sound asleep by no later 10:30pm. 🙃
☑️ 200-400mg Magnesium Glycinate (🔗 in Bio)
☑️ 200mg L-theanine
☑️ 400mg Progesterone therapy (this is just my personal prescribed dose, do not change your dose without consulting with your provider)

In case you didn’t know, progesterone is one of the very first hormones that starts to decline during perimenopause. And this is a problem for your sleep! Progesterone is known for its very calming & mildly sedating effects which makes it incredible for night time anxiety and insomnia.

If you’re currently on progesterone therapy, and still struggling with sleep, this is usually a strong indication that your dose may need to be adjusted. But If progesterone still isn’t providing adequate support, then it may be time to add in testostēronē as well! 🫶🏻

Here are some of the most common supplements you guys ask me about for helping manage perimenopause & menopause symptoms! 👌🏻

✅ Zyrtec/Pepcid: This is my favorite antihistamine combo, and is super effective for histamine intolerance & PMDD symptoms.

✅ Saffron: Excellent for mood, brain health, and ADHD symptoms

If you’re in or menopause & you’ve never heard of pregnenolone… THIS VIDEO IS FOR YOU! 👀

Pregnenolone is hands down one of the most underrated hormone support supplements available, and I genuinely cannot understand why more healthcare providers aren’t talking about it. 🤔

Pregnenolone is known as the ‘mother hormone’ because it is a precursor to all of your other hormones (DHEA, progesterone, estrogen, & test) This means that instead of just masking your symptoms, pregnenolone actually helps your body produce more of its own hormones. 🤌🏻

Pregnenolone can help with symptoms such as…
☑️ Poor sleep & insomnia
☑️ Bloating & fluid retention
☑️ Mood swings & irritability
☑️ Anxiety
☑️ High cortisol
☑️ Poor memory & brain fog
☑️ Histamine flares & sensitivities
☑️ Progesterone intolerance
☑️ General hormonal imbalance

What makes pregnenolone especially exciting is that it is available over the counter in the US, and it is generally considered safe for most women… including those who cannot take HRT for medical reasons. 🫶🏻

Comment MOTHER below & I’ll DM you a 🔗 for a 2 month supply so you can try it for yourself! 🤗

I want to address something that sparked a lot of conversation on one of my recent videos about weight gain…specifically around weight training.

Let me explain why I don’t put more emphasis on strength training (even though it is undeniably beneficial for your body & health).👇🏻

I used to be a competitive bodybuilder and a competitive weightlifter. Exercise has been a core part of my identity for most of my life. So it absolutely crushed me when my body wasn’t able to function like it used to after unexpectedly going through menopause in my mid twenties.

This is the reality for so many women in perimenopause & menopause. The fatigue, the joint pain, the brain fog, the nervous system dysregulation… these are not excuses. They are real, they are debilitating, and sometimes working out just isn’t possible…& that’s okay!

On the days when a full workout just isn’t possible, gentle movement still counts…
☑️ Walking
☑️ Vibration plate
☑️ Weighted vest
☑️ Stretching & mobility work
☑️ Simply getting outside

And on the days when even that feels like too much…rest is not failure. Rest is what your body is asking for, and you are allowed to listen to it.
I desperately wish someone had told me that it was okay to just let my body rest instead of feeling guilty for not being able to show up the way I used to.

Please be gentle with yourself, I know you are doing the best that you can! ❤️

If you’re in or menopause and it feels like your body is completely falling apart... low T might be to blame! 👀😩

FYI: We find that our patients feel their best when their free T is at least 3.0 pg/mL or higher. Anything less than this would be considered suboptimal and you are provably feeling it! 🫠

Most providers will completely overlook T when it comes to comes to perimenopause & menopause symptom management, despite the fact that our bodies produce more T on a daily basis than estrogen.

This post contains an incredibly comprehensive list of red flag symptoms we hear from our patients that could be indicative of low T, even if your lab results look ‘normal.

T is one of the first hormones that starts to decline during perimenopause, & low T impacts so much more than sęxual health. It can impact so many different aspects of our identity, our well being, and our relationships. And these symptoms deserve to be addressed. 👏🏻

Do any of these symptoms resonate with you? 🥹
