Manufacturing is showing renewed strength. The ISM Manufacturing PMI climbed to 54.0 in May, its highest level in three years and the fifth consecutive month of expansion.
Production, new orders, and business sentiment continue to improve, but manufacturers remain cautious. Rising costs, supply chain disruptions, and uncertainty about future demand are prompting many organizations to remain measured in their hiring and investment plans.
