🌸WOW FUN FLOWER FACT: Meet Jade Princess Millet!🌾
No, they're not little corn stalks🌽 Those tall, architectural spikes are actually Jade Princess Millet — one of our favorite plants for adding height, texture, and movement to fall windowboxes and planters.
Here's what makes it so special:
🌾 It's striking chartreuse foliage provides height, texture, and structure that flowers alone can't deliver.
🍂 As temperatures cool, it's completely natural for Millet to dry and transition from green to warm shades of tan and golden brown. It's all part of the plant's natural life cycle and one of the details that gives fall arrangements their authentic autumn character.
☀️ In warmer climates, where temperatures stay mild, millet often stays green much longer into the season.
🐦 Goldfinches and sparrows love the seed heads — so your windowbox might just become a little bird destination this fall.
Like all plants, millet isn't everyone's favorite — and that's okay! At WOW, every arrangement is customized to your preferences. If you'd rather skip the millet, just let us know when you complete your planting survey, and we'd be happy to incorporate ornamental grasses or other fall accents instead. 🍁🌿
