9 FIRST WARNING WEATHER ALERT DAY -- The Tri-State is under an enhanced risk for severe storms. Damaging wind gusts are the primary concern today from 4 to 10 p.m. A quick tornado spinup is possible too.

I mentioned on Monday that it was very possible that it wouldn't storm Monday. We even had a severe thunderstorm watch.... and it didn't storm. That's the wonky environment we are in!

But today, it's much more likely that it will storm, especially in the 4-10 p.m. timeframe. And this will be very visible on radar before it gets here. This should start well out to the northwest and then track across the Tri-State as a big line of thunderstorms. If the line starts to bow... which is very possible... that's a big sign that damaging winds are happening.

Damaging winds are the TOP concern today. Damage to trees, power outages, damage to roofs. Stay weather aware today and our team will be tracking it for you on WCPO 9

ACTIVE!!

We are looking at rounds of showers and storms over the next few days. What's difficult about the overall weather setup that we are in is that it can be fickle and unpredictable at times.

I was going through the latest models for today and some had big clusters of storms this afternoon while others had nothing! So my biggest piece of advice would be to check the radar before you head out the next several days.

Tomorrow, the chance for storms is higher and it comes with the threat for severe storms, including flash flooding. Tuesday will be a 9 FIRST WARNING WEATHER ALERT DAY.

Showers and storms for our Friday forecast!

There's some isolated activity I'm tracking this morning as you head out the door. But the better chance of rain comes in after noon and continues past sunset.

Yes, this could impact the Cincinnati Bengals stadium practice this evening at Paycor. It could also impact the FC Cincinnati match.

Your compete weekend forecast is in the comments below!
