Sled designed by UC professor heading to Sochi Olympics - Cincinnati Business Courier A University of Cincinnati professor designed the Prostar V5 sled that will be used by three U.S. athletes in Sochi, Russia, in the skeleton sled competitions that are taking place Feb. 13-15.

Great day for ProtoStar today! Matt Antoine took the men's Gold medal in the Skeleton World Cup race in Lake Placid riding the ProtoStar v5 skeleton sled! Noelle Pikus-Pace took Gold in the women's race. Noelle's sled pod (outer shell) is from the Protostar v5 design. John Daly, also riding a ProtoStar v5 sled, finished 4th, just .03 seconds behind the Bronze medal!

Just completed and shipped the last of five ProtoStar V5 skeleton sleds. It is going to be an exciting season!!

US Skeleton in wind tunnel The US Skeleton team visited the A2 Wind Tunnel in Mooresville, NC to do some testing before the October season start and we were there to see what was going on.
