The cookies anchored the treat boxes we made for our daughter's teachers and staff at the childcare center.

Kicking off our with a recipe near and dear to me (Theresa). Every year I make sugar cookies from my Great Aunt Grace, who was my grandmother's best friend. I always love using these old family recipes as it connects me with people I never met, like her.

I also love that they don't skimp on the butter and shortening! Stay tuned for these buttery delights that will be poorly decorated.

Me & our little kiddo have been sick sick sick & when we're sick, eating is the last thing we can do.
So today I'm feeling a little better & craved this scramble I made years ago & it's a go-to for comfort, healing & having another reason to add to ANYTHING

3 eggs
1/2 a yellow onion
3-5 mushrooms (I didn't have any today 😞)
A handful of spinach (fresh or frozen)
1 - 2 tsp minced garlic
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Good ol' s&p

I just saute up the garlic & onions til the onions start getting translucent, then I add the mushrooms & spinach & cook that all together til the mushrooms are just slightly cooked. Then I add in the eggs & spices, cook it up, throw it in a bowl, add that fireiest of fire sauces & voila! Eat up motha-f**kas!!

Rainy morning on top of a long week means you need a comfort breakfast. For Theresa, that's Japanese fridge cured salmon with eggs and rice.

This is cured pork jowel. I've always wanted to cook with it & saw some at the farmer's market over the summer so I snatched it up!
Finally pulled it down to make a carbonara & though I personally think I used too much pecorino cheese in it, I gotta say pork jowel is GOOD!
But let's be real, what pork isn't?

When you want an Shroomami Bowl but are in a salad dessert. I gotta say, we did a pretty damn good job AND more dressing than I get with my order usually 😂 (you can always ask for more AND YOU SHOULD! IT'S SO GOOD 🤤)
