Monday Night Oval 6.8.26

Turnouts was light once again for oval night. We don't know if the new has worn off or its just the summer slump is hitting the oval harder than the offroad. We had a total of 10 unique drivers entering 13 cars in 3 classes. We had 8 NASCAR, 3 1RC, and 2 Hackfab Mini-B Late Model. 1RC and Hackfab are niche markets and even if everybody showed up with one at the same time, we might have 10 total cars between the 2 but NASCAR has a huge racer base. We have had as many as 27 NASCAR racing on a Monday night before and over 50 different drivers have raced with us since running NASCAR.

We have one more oval race before the track refresh. The track will be down for almost the entire month of July so you may want to get your fix in before that.

Note: we are trying to organize a slick track concrete oval race in the middle of the track refresh. A time when the old carpet has been taken up and the new is not down yet.

Mini Truck Points Race #1

Friday was a busy day starting out with the banquette and trophy presentation and finishing up with our first try at a “Mini” Series. This is something we hope to do more of in the future, a one month series highlighting a single class or group of classes to help give racers a little focus on what classes to plan for. We will still be running our full normal program but these classes will be highlighted with a month long points championship with 4 ro 5 races with just one drop. The races will be every week in the month. Prizes will vary, this month we will be giving out gift cards to the top 3 drivers in Mini-T Pro Stock, Mini-SCT, and Mini Grom at the end of the series.
The turnout for the night rebounded strongly with 47 entries but we can't discount the fact that there was free pizza. Hopefully this month continues strong as we will be down most of July for the upcoming train display and subsequent track rebuild. Get your racing fix in while you can.
Mini-SCT was the strongest class with 2 full heats. It was also the closest battle with the posiitions 3 – 8 on 23 lap runs. Mini-T also had 2 heats and the top 4 racers were on the same lap in qualifying with the rest of the field within 2 laps across the group. Granite Grom was the only on a little light with only 4 entries. But that didn't make the racing any less exciting. All 4 drivers in Grom finished with 21 laps less than 10 seconds apart. There is still time to join in on the fun, this race can be your drop.

Unfortunately because of the late finish, our racers bugged out before we could get podium pics, we will hold them hostage next week.

2026 Points Series Wrap Up

What started as the Winter points series is now in the books, prizes handed out, pizza devoured, and trophies are safe at home with their deserving champions. We want to start out by thanking everyone that participated in the series, especially those that stuck it out with us to the end. We also would like to thank the companies that supplied door prizes for the banquette; Horizon Hobby, Amain, Protek, 1UP Racing and Eco Power. If you won something from one of these great companies, please thank them by purchasing more of their wonderful products. A shout out to LaRosa's Pizzeria for helping us out with the Pizzas.

Racing was always good through the series although turnouts started falling off in the last couple races. Most of the championships came down to the last round before we knew the whole podium. Throughout the 10 race series, we had excatly 600 entries. 32,539 Laps were turned over the 10 races. Highest single night of entries 86 (twice) followed by 85 and 79. Unfortunately our low was 31 on race 9.

There are a lot of stories to be told about down to the wire finishes but those are best told by the racers involved. We did have a couple classes that the Champion was not decided until race 10. All the classes except Junior could still have position swaps on the final race and did.

Once again, we would like to thank all those that participated in the series and our door prize sponsors. Next year there will be some changes to the program so that it does not draw out so long and we have a chance to do more smaller events or maybe even a spring trophy race.

Monday Night Micro's 6.1.26

This week will be the second week of running the Microbe SC Brushless trucks. The trucks have sold out of the first batch and we are waiting for more to arrive as the class is growing. The trucks are proving challenging to get a handle on but it is keeping racing interesting. Anybody can get caught out trying to push them too hard.

Tonight ended up matching our best Micro Monday turnout since we started racing with 28 entries over all 3 classes (Micro-B Prostock, Micro-T Prostock, and Microbe SC Brushless).There were 2 full heats of Micro-B, a heat of Micro-T, and 2 heats for Microbe SC.

Racing was close after the first round and Curtis Sand took the early TQ in both Buggy and SC. Greg Roshon was a close second in both. Round 2 saw Curtis dethroned in buggy with Nick Crotinger and Greg Roshon getting around him for 1 and 2 on the grid. Curtis held on with a dominating run in SCB although some slipups toward the end turned it into a photo finish for the pole with Nick Crotinger. Tony Hines put a run in with the Micro-T that would have put him 3rd on the grid in buggy.

The mains gave us some good close racing. The Microbe SC B main saw 2nd - 5th on the same lap for the entire race. Positions were swapped every lap. The Micro-B A main came down less than a second between first and second, and 4 seconds between 3rd – 5th.

It's RACE Night and AWARD Night!

Start of the Mini Truck Series plus the Banquette and Awards for the 2026 Points Series are tonight.

Schedule for the night.....

Drivers Meeting at 6:45 - Explaining this schedule and the Mini Truck series for those that haven't seen these posts.
7:00 pm - Pizza, drinks and hand out Door prizes for series participants
7:30 pm - Podium and Trophy presentation
Racing begins immediately after Trophies.

Remember, we are racing our normal class lineup. The Mini Truck classes earn points toward the 4 race series. You are still welcome and encouraged to race the buggy classes and as always, expect Brushed Buggy and 4x4 Buggy to be solid. A few racers are pushing to get brushless Mini-B going strong again so that we can have a good sized class in the August series.

We will be doing a Buggy points series in August so don't feel left out if you only have a buggy to race.
