Making a record takes long hours, longer conversations, and even longer existential crises—but I wouldn’t trade a second of it. This being my first official production release, I’m wildly honored that Angus trusted me with his music. Between corrupted files, retracked vocals, and what felt like infinite concept revisions, we somehow arrived at something that feels honest, alive, and worth every late night. The songs grew up while we were still trying to, and that’s probably why I love them so much. Feeling proud, grateful, and officially addicted to making more records with the people I love.

When first played me “fools talk,” it stopped me in my tracks—as if he’d put language to a feeling I didn’t know how to name. It was like I’d spent my whole life circling the edges of a song like this, never able to pen it to page. Cue Angus.

Working with Angus—wrists don’t work—has been one of those collaborations that makes you believe in the whole messy, magical process of making art. We’ve poured ourselves into this album over the past few months, and we’re proud of what we’ve built. fools talk is a mere glimpse of that world, and we can’t wait to show you the rest.
