GHOST HUNTING TONIGHT!

A lonely cemetery and an abandoned church sit on a hill overlooking US 32. Jasper Methodist Church and Cemetery has a history. The burial site of a Union martyr. During the Civil War, Confederate General Morgan and his raiders crossed the Ohio River. After crossing, Morgan tried to force a Union Prisoner into acting as a guide. Joseph McDougal refused, and the Confederate soldiers tied him up and set him adrift in a small boat, shooting at him until he was killed.

These photos were taken this past fall. Having driven past it several times, with the sun bleached trees standing out I finally stopped on the way back from a family trip.

A short video is in the works from this trip as well. In the meantime, enjoy the the photos, and let us know if anyone else has been by or to this quiet hilltop cemetery.

Dawn of the first day. Gettysburg

Here at Midwest Legend Hunters we don't believe in sleep. Driving all night and still 2 hours of driving to go. No rest for aspiring wannabe YouTubers. Filming starts as soon as we arrive.The only thing smaller than our producers bladder is his cars gas tank. While looking for a place to stop and fill the tank we passed a billboard for a gas station that said " we're open late for truckers taking one last load!" . To make a long story short I told Max Firewater we're not stopping there. Wish us luck guys. Goodnight. Don't let what goes bump in the dark bite!

Us here at Midwest Legend Hunters want to give a shout out to everyone giving us tip offs in the DMs. Some lead to dead ends while others lead us to back alleys in downtown Cincinnati. Do you like long walks in lonely cemeteries at dusk? We at Midwest Legend Hunters sure do.

Last night our co founder and host Andrew Daulton did just that!

Pics are from the Dayton National Cemetery located on the grounds of the Dayton VA. The property was originally a US Army hospital during the Civil War and would go on to be one of the founding precursors to the modern VA. The cemetery was consecrated as part of the initiative set forth by President Lincoln after his Gettysburg address in 1863. After the war the hospital would be used to provide food lodging and care for soldiers who served honorably in the Armies of the Republic (union army) and was noted for being one of the first federal institutions without segregation.

Not only did they not call the cops when we showed up at their door unannounced and looking a bit hoboish (it had been a long hard day of outdoor investigation by the time we showed up) they allowed us access to their property, shared their paranormal experiences and even rolled up their sleeves and joined us in a night time investigation.
