Hey Charley Hartmann … you’re still pouring into me, even though you’re gone… and I am beyond grateful for that.

On the 2 year anniversary of his death.. there was a singular passage of scripture attached to the last day of a devotional plan I was reading… it made me cry, laugh, shake my head, and pray with sincere gratitude in less than 5 minutes. My heart needed this sweet reminder from the Lord this morning. (Picture in comments below)

I’m down on vacation in North Myrtle Beach, so I decided to get up and catch the sunrise, and what a beautiful morning it was. After doing some praying, meditating, reading, reflecting and observing the glory of God in His Creation… I decided to record an impromptu version of this song I wrote for Charley the day I found out he died. I was leading worship at a meeting earlier this week that holds a very special place in my heart. In the middle of our time of worship, the Lord dropped this song in my spirit. I hadn’t sang it in a really long time.. but it became apparent to me as the song progressed, that this was a battle cry for me in this current season. If I’m being honest, life has been kicking my butt over the past couple years. It’s been one wave after another for myself and my family. A few of my brothers in Christ encouraged me that Jesus is writing a new chapter of my testimony, and He isn’t done with me yet. This song reminds me of the truth of God’s faithfulness. He has done it before, and He will do it again. It’s already happening now.
