Join us on Saturday, August 22, 2026, as the City of Cincinnati unveils the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, a permanent tribute to the life, leadership, and legacy of Dr. King.

This celebration will feature food, music, fellowship, and more as residents, organizations, and community leaders come together to honor a man whose vision continues to inspire generations.

As Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.—the fraternity of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.—Delta Gamma Lambda is honored to participate in this historic occasion and invites our Brothers, families, friends, and the Greater Cincinnati community to join us.

Together, let's celebrate a legacy that continues to call us to lead, serve, and uplift our communities.

Delta Gamma Lambda was honored to welcome our 37th General President, Brother Lucien J. Metellus, Jr, to Cincinnati during his visit for the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Conclave.

Following the day's activities, Brothers gathered for a special reception where we shared a meal, strengthened our bonds of Brotherhood, and had the privilege of hearing directly from Brother Metellus and Executive Director, Brother Sean L. McCaskill. During the conversation, they challenged us to continue building a stronger Fraternity by remaining committed to one another, embracing our civic responsibility through the importance of voting, and honoring the obligations we each accepted when we became Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

General President Metellus’ words were a reminder that the future of Alpha depends on Brothers who are willing to lead with purpose, serve with integrity, and remain actively engaged in the work of our Fraternity and our communities.

As a small token of our appreciation, the Chapter presented Brother Metellus and Brother McCaskill with gifts recognizing their leadership, dedication to Alpha, and their willingness to spend time investing in the Brothers of Delta Gamma Lambda.

Thank you, Brother General President, and Brother Executive Director, for your leadership, your encouragement, and your continued commitment to moving our beloved Fraternity forward. We are grateful for your visit and look forward to putting your message into action.
