In our community, conversations about mental health and su***de prevention are crucial. The QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training empowers individuals to recognize the signs of someone in crisis and equips them with the tools to help. https://qprinstitute.com/
๐ Why is this important for the African American community?
1. Cultural Stigma: Mental health issues often carry stigma, making it difficult for individuals to seek help. This training fosters open dialogue and understanding.
2. Disproportionate Impact: Su***de rates among African Americans are increasing. By learning how to support one another, we can combat this trend together.
3. Community Resilience: Strong communities save lives. By equipping ourselves with knowledge and resources, we can create a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and heard.
Letโs break the silence and build a brighter, healthier future for our community. ๐ช๐พโจ
